How to unlock the Charge Adept achievement in Tales of Xillia - Definitive Guide

When you do an arte as Alvin, hold the circle button to charge your weapon. Do this 150 times (your progress can be seen in the stats menu) and you'll get your trophy.

Progress on this trophy carries over to a NG+.

After Alvin performs an arte, hold and he will charge his weapon, causing it to glow white. Do this 150 times for the trophy. It will still count if you perform another Charge while his weapon is currently in the Charged state. You can work on this trophy as you play by controlling Alvin for regular battles and periodically performing Charges.

If you don’t use Alvin throughout the game, and need to grind this out during the end game portion of your playthrough, you can use the skill Minimum Damage, and accessory Risk Ring as mentioned under Combo Artiste to grind this out against weaker enemies.

If you have any of the following skills for Alvin be sure to have them equipped to help you with this trophy:

  • Charge Plus 1, 2 and 3
  • Sustained Charge
  • Speed Charge
