You can choose to carry over progress on these trophies to a NG+.

You get the Magnate trophies for increasing the respective shop’s level to 100. To upgrade them, you’ll need either gald or materials, which are found from enemy drops or random treasures throughout the world.

Materials come in 7 different types: mineral, plant, beast, bird, fish, bug, and orb. When choosing to expand a shop, there will be a bonus of either x2 or x3 points when a specific type is used to upgrade a shop. This bonus changes over time as you fight battles. You’ll usually want to wait until a shop gets a x3 bonus before upgrading, but upgrading at a x2 bonus is fine if you haven’t upgraded that shop in a while. Note that the orb type will never get a bonus, so feel free to use those materials to upgrade your shops if you have trouble getting x3 bonuses for a certain shop.

In the long term, the only shops that are most useful for maxing are the weapon, armor and accessory shops, as they’ll allow you to fill up your Item Data for the Item Fanatic trophy. The Item and Food Vendor shops offer little benefit past level 50.

If you want to get all the Magnate trophies easily, you can choose to level up the shops normally until they all hit around level 60, then hoard your materials until you get a x3 bonus for that shop. If that happens, save your game and go all out by donating all your materials and gald to one shop and you should be able to max that one. Reload your save and repeat until you have all of the trophies.

You can also wait until NG+ and choose to inherit your shop levels, materials, and pick the double material growth bonus. Once you have these carried over, you should have no problem getting each shop to level 100 through saving/reloading.
