How to unlock the Combo Master achievement in Tekken 6 - Definitive Guide

This is actually not as hard as it looks. Tekken 6 is fairly lenient on the time between hit ratio so you don't have to be a flurry of fists to keep the counter going. What of course would slow you down is the intervention of enemies.

The stage I got this achievement in may give a reference for your own plan of attack. I met up with the bear in the Nature Park, along the way all the bears sitting in middle of the path are actually easy targets for a low kick (A button). Kick them while they're down, so to speak, and keep kicking. You'll see your counter slowly climb.

I got the 50 at the boss with his bear minions around him, so it may be safer to start kicking towards the end of the stage but I'll let you gauge that yourself.

As long as you don't wait too long between hits (being hit yourself doesn't seem to reset the counter, which is nice), you should be able to keep climbing until you run out of enemies around you.

Good luck!

I tried in the North Nature Park, and there was always a bear that i can't kick and who broke my combo ... they are small, and if you forget to do a low attack, you can easily lose your combo !

Another place to do this achievement is the top of the Millennium Tower : there are so many enemies that you could get this achievement easily .... just fight and the chievo popped ...
I did a 68 chain combo very easily, and i'm not a good fighter !!

I did this on North Nature Park where you will fight a mass army of bears with Kuma at the end. This level is filled with pipes/poles that you can pick up. Simply run through the line, lock on each bear and keep attacking with X with the pipe and repeat. Every hit should hit and 1 hit KO them.

There should be just enough bears to hit with the pipe, if not you will eventually reach Kuma and you can repeatedly attack him with the pipe or your attacks as well to add to the counter.

To those who want it early, i got on chapter 3, just keep advancing destroying the robots and crates to mantain chains, when you get to the crate with the machine gun, keep transporting it,and only use on the big robots, i got 78 chains using this method and since i destroyed everything in the end got a lot of moneybecause a lot of aliens showed up, so you can kill two birds with one stone! use Paul Phoenix, no upgrades

The trophy description can be a bit misleading. It does not require a combo in moves inflicted on foes, rather a chain of enemies defeated. As a result, you can earn this in a stage which has many enemies (as the time you have between kills is rather generous, so there is little worry). You can easily go far over the fifty-kill combo required if you keep the streak going in G Corporation, Millennium Tower Heliport (Kazuya's stage).

Chain combos aren't quite as they sound. You don't really need to do many combos at all. This counter is merely driven by enemies defeated rather than number of hits in a single string of moves or something like a traditional combo system. You are given somewhere around 5 seconds to defeat enemies or break crates before the counter vanishes, merely hitting the enemies does not preserve the chain.

The earliest stage I found this possible on was the West Coast Canal Industrial Complex in which Baek is the opposing boss. Before reaching Baek, I had reached a chain of approximately 54 while keeping a lookout for both enemies and boxes alike. Baek has a few goons with him, so if you haven't quite reached the mark you'll be able to keep your streak alive as this fight doesn't interrupt the counter. I'd suggest targeting his lackeys before him however, as they will be K.O'd faster and keep your chain alive rather than trying to kill him and failing because you weren't able to K.O him fast enough. Again, this was the earliest and simplest stage I could find however I'm sure there are many stages past this one in which this is possible.

EDIT: This trophy is practically a feebie on the stage G corporation, Millennium Tower Heliport. It's the stage in which you face a mob prior to fighting Kazuya, and you'll easily rack up over 60 enemies chained if your gear is decent enough.

Whenever you're playing, try killing enemies one right after the other. Don't leave a long gap where you or your partner don't get any kills, otherwise, your combo resets.

If you're still having trouble, try one of these two levels for easy combos:

  • North Nature Park
  • G Corporation, Millennium Tower Heliport

The trophy is easily won on the level with Kuma (where there are still a bunch of bear cubs as enemies). Just pick up pipes from the boxes (one box is right at the beginning of the level, you need to run back a little) and constantly hit the bear cubs with them.

At the level where you fight Anna and Kazuya, it is quite easy to get, because. Between boss battles there will be a bunch of soldiers and robots. I scored about 60.

The easiest thing to do is on the level where the boss is Kangaroo. On the way to it you will meet many other kangaroos and bears. They die easily. The main thing is not to stand still for a long time. The rest is a matter of technique.
