How to unlock the Preeminent Partner achievement in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - Definitive Guide

As APassingShadow states, set the options to

Arcade Battle

Those having problems defeating "unknown" in the last battle this is how I did it getting 2 perfect victories.

Choose Heihachi and Jin.
Keep backing off during the round (just hold back on the controller) every time your opponent comes toward you just tap B to kick. If you time this right you will knock your opponent to the floor each time and she won't be able to touch you. When she gets up and approaches again, just repeat. Do this until you are victorious!
Hope this is of some help!

Your strategy sounds good. Personally I repeated Paul's d+1, f+2 combo endlessly. The block stun pushes her back out of range so there is no risk of a counter. Like you suggest the key is creating distance. Never take a single step forward. Let her come to you and it's easy.

I just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing this but when I play Arcade Mode (not Ghost Mode) I find there are fighters coming up in Arcade Mod with wins/losses and they are pretty hard to defeat. Some are ranked Master/Mentor etc and I have a hard time even getting past them. Can these ghost intruders be turned off for Arcade Mode?

@syio I've noticed same thing, I've ranked up to 15th Dan and I'm facing 22dan upwards in arcade, I'm playing on easy and find it very hard, I'm not enjoying the infinite air combo to death the CPU like to do none stop

Bob has a real abusive move, which is really simple and will get you through the whole game really easy. Pick him solo, so he has more health. Then on the final battle, die on purpose now swap to Bob and another character of your choice. Preferably someone your half-decent with, but it shouldn't matter.

Hold Back and push both LP and RP (X+Y Default).

You'll do a combo starting with a headbutt and then two more hits, it's really powerful and will make short work of the Arcade mode.

Set your Options to Easy and 1 Round too. The final boss you'll have to do over 2 rounds but just use the combo.

Advanced:
To make the abuse even easier, you can use BACK then X then Y. This will punch them in the stomach twice and leave them keeled over ready for a Headbutt combo. Your all ready holding BACK, so just hit X+Y together.

The Bob shit worked perfectly. I didn't die once.

Mash XandY. Alternate some X's and some Y's in there. Back to X and Y. All while holding BACK so you block. I got a perfect against unknown.

How to beat the final final boss!

**SPOILERS CONTAINED BELOW**

Easiest way I've found in beating Unknown is using Jun (and Asuka - as they're similar) and assigning LK + RK to any button. Simply spam the hell out of that move, you'll see variant moves happening naturally. This is how I beat Jun/Unknown first time.

For this achievement you need to complete Arcade Mode with a tag team. After you beat Stage 9 the achievement will pop.

Play through arcade mode on any difficulty with any two characters. It's best played on one round and easy difficulty. You will receive the trophy after you defeat the final boss on the 9th round. You may continue if defeated.

Win Jun and Unknown in Arcade Battle with two characters. It is better to set the difficulty to “easy” in the game settings.
