Throwing the voodoo doll into lava to summon the Wall of Flesh will not count for this trophy.
You must either lure the Guide to a lava pit, or easier, craft a bucket, fill it with lava , build a wall close around him (ideally leaving only two blocks for his sprite) and dumping the bucket of lava on him.

Easiest method is when you eventually run into lava while making your way down to The Underworld, take a bucket and fill it up with lava. Then go back to the surface where the Guide is and dig hole under him or build around him so he can't move. Pour the lava in and wait for him to die.
