How to unlock the Infinity +1 Sword achievement in Terraria - Definitive Guide

For those who need the Enchanted Sword. *Journey Mode Only*

Size : Large
Difficulty : Journey
Evil : Corruption
Name doesn't matter
Seed : 1541548123

Once created begin traversing to the left, as you pass 3 giant living trees you will come to a hill with a small pond at the top. Just before the hill there will be a tiny cave entrance that goes both left and right that you can not fit in. When you have found this "Cave Entrance" wedge your character as if you were trying to get in the cave and begin digging straight down. If in the right spot you will land in the shrine and be able to mine the statue.

NOTE: The enchanted sword is not the sword that will unlock this achievement, it is just a part of the sword that can be annoying to farm without a pre-found seed.
Sorry for any false information.

To the right of the water, it isn't really a cave it is just a dent in the hill.

Not that far, just keep digging until you hit the shrine. If you've been digging quite a while you might be in the wrong spot.

Confirmed that shrines are straight down for both locations mentioned...the wedge (very close down, I actually dug right past it the first time) and first tree (little further down)...the shrines have a greenish mosaic background and are shaped like an upside down U...i have 2 enchanted swords...now how to get that Zenith sword - if anyone has dupes of the swords, please message me.

This seed worked for me but oddly enough there were no living trees when I did it. I just had to look around for the pond and the cave opening.

So, you want to craft the Zenith, the hardest weapon to make and one of the longest crafting trees in the entire game? It requires materials from all kinds of different sources throughout the game to craft the ultimate sword. The total amount of materials will be listed as well as how to get each material, and the crafting station required. The list will be split into Pre-Hardmode items and Hardmode items. Materials required will be underlined and crafting stations will be italicized. THERE IS A FULL MATERIAL LIST AT THE BOTTOM.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pre-Hardmode

Copper Shortsword - Crafted at an Iron/Lead Anvil or better using 5 Copper Bars. A Copper Bar requires 3 Copper Ore at a Furnace or better. All non-Journey mode characters will also start with this weapon in their inventory. If your world has Tin instead of Copper, it's still possible to get Copper through Shimmer, fishing, killing Slimes, etc. This one is very simple to obtain and is by far the easiest requirement of them all.

Enchanted Sword - Found at an Enchanted Sword Shrine somewhere in your world. Depending on world size, you may get only one, multiple, or even none if your world generation is unlucky enough. Note that it's also possible to get the Terragrim sword instead of an Enchanted Sword from a shrine (although it's only a 2% chance). Additionally, you may obtain one from a Golden/Titanium fishing crate at odds of 1/30 and 1/15, respectively.

Starfury - Take to the skies to find this sword in a Sky Island's Skyware Chest. It has a 25% chance to be in one and can be obtained relatively early with some luck and a Gravitation Potion. If you can't find one, it can also be found in Azure/Sky fishing crates at the same odds. As a side note, this is a great early game weapon and can take you pretty far into Pre-Hardmode.

Bee Keeper - Take to the Jungle and hunt for a bee nest and slay Queen Bee to get this sword. It has a 33% chance to be dropped (regardless of difficulty). Very straightforward to obtain.

Night's Edge - Craftable at a Demon/Crimson Altar after obtaining or crafting its ingredients: Muramasa, Volcano, Blade of Grass, and Light's Bane (Corruption) OR Blood Butcherer (Crimson).

Muramasa - Found in the Dungeon after defeating Skeletron. It will always spawn in the first Locked Gold Chest you find, barring any weird world generation or anything like that. (If the chest spawns too close to the surface, it may generate as a normal wooden chest with a Golden Key inside instead.) It's possible to get this before Skeletron is defeated if the chest spawns above or near the point where the Dungeon Guardian spawns. It has a 1/7 chance to be gotten in any other Locked Gold Chest and the same odds from Golden Lock Boxes (from fishing in the Dungeon).

Blade of Grass - Venture into the Underground Jungle to craft this surprisingly great melee weapon. Its materials are harder to obtain in Hardmode, so it's recommended to get them before killing the Wall of Flesh. This is due to the Hardmode enemies having a lower drop rate for Stingers, not to mention how rough the enemies can be in early Hardmode. You can craft this weapon at an Iron/Lead Anvil or better with 12 Stingers, 15 Jungle Spores, and 3 Vines. Jungle Spores can be gotten from the Caverns layer in the Underground Jungle (just look for the green glowing spore plants). Stingers will drop from Spiked Jungle Slimes, Hornets, and Moss Hornets (albeit Moss Hornets have a much lower drop rate, which is why you should do this Pre-Hardmode). Vines will drop from Man Eaters. Note that playing on Expert or Master mode will increase drop rates for these items, but they are still very common even on Classic mode.

Volcano - Crafted with 20 Hellstone Bars at an Iron/Lead Anvil or better. To craft Hellstone Bars, you will need 3 Hellstone and 1 Obsidian per bar at a Hellforge or better. Obsidian is easy, just mix water and lava together. You will need a Nightmare/Deathbringer Pickaxe or better, or explosives to mine it. Hellstone will require you to visit The Underworld to obtain it. Likewise, it also requires a Nightmare/Deathbringer Pickaxe or better, and cannot be mined with explosives until Hardmode begins.

Light's Bane (Corruption Worlds only) - Crafted with 10 Demonite Bars at an Iron/Lead Anvil or better. Each bar requires 3 Demonite Ore at a Furnace or better. Demonite Ore can be mined with a Gold Pickaxe or better, or with explosives. Alternatively, one can kill the Eater of Worlds or the Eye of Cthulhu for Demonite Ore. (Note that the Eye will drop the ore that matches the world's Evil biome.)

OR

Blood Butcherer (Crimson Worlds only) - Crafted with 10 Crimtane Bars at an Iron/Lead Anvil or better. Each bar requires 3 Crimtane Ore at a Furnace or better. Crimtane Ore can be mined with a Gold Pickaxe or better, or with explosives. Alternatively, one can kill the Brain of Cthulhu or the Eye of Cthulhu for Crimtane Ore. (Note that the Eye will drop the ore that matches the world's Evil biome.)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay, that's all for Pre-Hardmode. You're free to kill the Wall of Flesh if you're ready. If this is your first time, know that the game is about to spike in difficulty and you should be prepared to die a few times (or maybe a lot). Go ahead and smash those altars with your new Pwnhammer and mine the new Hardmode ores (note that you need a Molten Pickaxe for the first tier, a first tier pickaxe for the second tier, and second for third). Our first step won't be taken until after 1 of the 3 Mechanical Bosses are defeated, so prepare yourself. Hardmode will be split into multiple substages.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hardmode

Mechs

Excalibur - So, you've beaten a Mechanical Boss. Congrats! You get a very solid melee weapon for your troubles in Excalibur. You craft it using 12 Hallowed Bars at a Mythril/Orichalcum Anvil. Hallowed Bars will drop from defeating any of the 3 bosses. This will help significantly against the other two Mechs as well.

True Excalibur - After crushing all 3 Mechs, you have two new crafting components ready to go, but let's cover Excalibur's upgrade first. Using your Hallowed Bars and one of every Soul dropped from the Mechs, craft a Drax or a Pickaxe Axe and get to mining Chlorophyte in the Underground Jungle! You will need 24 Chlorophyte Bars along with Excalibur at a Mythril/Orichalcum Anvil. Chlorophyte Bars are crafted using 5 Chlorophyte Ore each at an Adamantite/Titanium Forge.

True Night's Edge - Remember Night's Edge? Well, he's getting an upgrade finally. Combine Night's Edge with 20 Souls of Fright, Might, and Sight (each dropped from a different Mechanical Boss) at a Mythril/Orichalcum Anvil.

Post-Plantera

Seedler - Dropped from Plantera. She has a 1/7 chance for this thing to be dropped. Honestly, it's pretty solid but it gets outclassed kind of quickly. Still need it though. Not much else to say about this thing.

Terra Blade - Those two shiny swords we just made, remember those? Well, it's time to combine them into one of the best melee weapons for the rest of Hardmode. Take your True Night's Edge and your True Excalibur and..... huh? Seems like we're missing something. Well, get ready to farm Solar Eclipses and slay some Mothron to get the Broken Hero Sword. It's a 25% chance on Classic and 43.75% on Expert/Master for each Mothron defeated. Note that even though Solar Eclipses spawn before Plantera is defeated, Mothron will NOT spawn until after she falls. But once all is said and done, combine all three of them at a Mythril/Orichalcum Anvil and enjoy a very powerful melee weapon. (If you want to speed up the process of getting Solar Eclipses, venture into the Jungle Temple and find some Solar Tablets or craft them out of the fragments to summon one on demand during the daytime.)

The Horseman's Blade - Dropped from Pumpkings during the Pumpkin Moon event. The drop rate varies, but it increases based on how many waves you have cleared during the event. To summon a Pumpkin Moon, create a Pumpkin Moon Medallion with 30 Pumpkins, 10 Hallowed Bars, and 5 Ectoplasm. Pumpkins can be obtained by Shimmering a Cactus or can spawn on the ground during the Halloween Season. Note that clearing at least 15 waves of the Pumpkin Moon will cause the next in-game day to be treated as the Halloween Season and can get you more Pumpkins easily. Ectoplasm comes from the Post-Plantera Dungeon by defeating the Dungeon Spirits that may spawn when defeating any enemy in the Dungeon. This one may be better to wait until defeating Golem to go for, as you will have access to Beetle Armor for better damage/survivability against the large groups of enemies present.

Post-Golem

Influx Waver - This one is a doozy to get. To even start the Martian Madness event, start searching for a Martian Probe, which spawns more commonly in the Space layer and only in the outer 2/3rds of the map. Get spotted and let it fly away. As for the sword itself, it has a 1/6 chance of being dropped by the Martian Saucer. Not only is this a tough miniboss, but the regular enemies pack quite a punch as well. With how infrequently the saucers can spawn, it may take you multiple Martian Madness events to get the Influx Waver, so just be patient. Note that once you have completed the event once, the spawn rate of Martian Probes is lower and will take longer to find another. It is a very solid weapon once you do get it, even if this event can be a bit annoying to farm.

Post

Meowmere - Has a 2/9 chance to be dropped from
Yes, this does mean that Zenith is not available for use before the credits roll. But it is still well worth it.

Star Wrath - Also has a 2/9 chance to be dropped from

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Believe it or not, that's every single item you need to craft your Zenith. Combine Terra Blade, Meowmere, Star Wrath, Influx Waver, The Horseman's Blade, Seedler, Starfury, Beekeeper, the Enchanted Sword, and the Copper Shortsword at a Mythril/Orichalcum Anvil and enjoy the destruction! This thing is a complete monster and will slice through anything in your path (not that there's anything left, but still).
