The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena

Complete the following tasks to earn this achievement:

Riddick killed in melee combat; Pitch Black mode, kill Riddick with a melee weapon or a gun butt.

Leading player killed; kill the player whose in the lead

Payback kill; get killed, then kill the person who killed you. Has to be done quiet quickly, the announcer will say "comeback" when successful (requires at least 3 players)

Comeback win; set a game to 20 points to win, get your boosting pal to score 19 points, then you just have to win the match

I have completed this game 100%. The tips in this Achievement roster were extremely helpful. Thanks to all who posted. I also used the Prima game guide. The solutions to the problems I encountered are my own from my own in-game observations and experience from trial and error when other tips did not work for me. Hope this helps someone.

I do not know if my game was glitched, but two parts of this achievement caused me problems and delays earning it. Payback and Comeback.

I only earned paybacks in a three or four player game, after I was killed twice in a row, then re-spawned and killed my killer. The only mode I was able to get this payback on was CTF on Vexeer 982. There is an in-game banner that occasionally rolls across the screen during loading that advises you to get killed twice and get payback. If you miss seeing it, like I did, you may not be aware of this criteria. I used boosting partners and stood in the middle of the ground floor between the flag bases. One of my opponents killed me twice, then after I re-spawned, I jumped over the rail and got a head shot. Alternatively, I had plenty of time to run down the steps below my spawn point (near my team flag) and use the assault rifle to kill my booster friend. The announcer will call it. The in-game banner will tell you that you got a payback kill while loading the next screen. You will see the progress in the menu screen under "Achievements".

The Comeback Win perplexed me until I figured out the problem. The custom map builder asks you to set points limits, not kill limits. Generally there is one point per kill. Multipliers come in at fifth and eighth and 15-16th kills. By the time a booster has made 19 consecutive kills, he will have 39 points or more. The achievement did not pop for me if I set the game points higher than 20. If you want a 20 score game, only kill your booster helper in sets of 3 consecutive kills. This prevents the point multiplier from adding extra points. (If you do 4 consecutive kills, the game immediately re-spawns the killed player before the concussive blast or bullets have stopped and you will get and extra kill and the unstoppable call from the announcer and have 5-6 points on the clock). The achievement will not pop. Alternate 3 on 3 until the booster helper has 18 points on the screen. You now kill him 3 times to equal his 18 points score. Your boosting partner now will only kill you once to score the 19th point. Now, you will take the final shot to get the 20th point and the Comeback Win. Nice. I used the assault rifle in the Arena on the Vulture Cage map, as the opponent always re-spawns directly across from you. I also used a second Xbox 360, a second game disk, and another LIVE account with a wired controller. Yeah, it was me, myself and I, most of the time. Thanks to Biker98, IowaEagleEye & SnikeneUllteppe for helping out with 4 player skirmishes. Sometimes it 'takes a village' to get a cheevo.

I boosted the Pitch Black sections with two players and the other tips posted here at the site were spot-on for those parts of the achievement.
