How to unlock the Master of War achievement in The Cursed Crusade - Definitive Guide

To gain the achievement Master of War you must obtain all weapon techniques and then use your Victory Points to obtain all combos with them.

The following is the list of weapon combinations:

1. One-Handed Sword
2. One-Handed Axe
3. Mace (One-Handed)
4. Double Sword
5. Double Axe
6. Double Mace
7. Sword and Axe
8. Sword and Mace
9. Axe and Mace
10. Sword and Shield
11. Axe and Shield
12. Mace and Shield
13. Spear and Shield
14. Spear
15. Two-Handed Axe
16. Two-Handed Sword

You gain the weapons/ weapon combinations by picking the weapons up off of deceased soldiers. There is no need to worry about picking every single weapon up as a Celtic Sword and a Straight Sword are in the same class, that being a One-Handed Sword. I suggest picking up a shield as soon as possible and gaining those techniques first, as in the later levels you will be favoring dual weapons and two-handed weapons, or at least I was. I also highly suggest that you should work on the one handed sword and the two handed sword as soon as possible and get their X, X, X, Y, Y combos as they end with a stun attack and can be quickly done again. They will take armor off very quickly and deal a good amount of damage. After that it is pretty much dealer's choice so go with whatever you feel suits your style.

Each weapon/weapon combination requires between 10-12 Victory Points to max it out. You should be getting between 5-6 Victory Points per level especially if you are following a collectibles guide. I popped this achievement by Chapter 4, Mission 6. I will add the link to the Youtube guide I was using for the collectibles, which I take no credit for the video guide whatsoever, but it might help you kill 3 birds with one stone. Also know that the guide is in three parts and is completely in Spanish. You don't have to worry about translation as the gentleman, FeroXFuenia, does a very nice job at showing each collectibles' exact location.

Happy Hunting!

Here are the links. It wouldn't let me post in the Youtube links box.

After 16 different weapon combinations you have made it to the achievement that marks them all. Just a couple of reminders/tips to keep in mind when checking these off:

  • Each weapon grouping (i.e. Mace+shield,Two-handed sword, ect.) has a different amount of special moves that are unlockable. Some may be 10% per new ability which means there are 10 abilities in total that need to be unlocked while others may be closer to 20% per ability which means there are only 5.
  • Keep in mind that the game does keep track of your progress and will let you know you've reached 100% on a weapon grouping by both letting you know by awarding you 100% in a weapon class and by giving you its respected achievement.
  • These aren't hard, just remember to pick up all the coffers, kill the necessary amount of souls, and purify the crucifix.
  • Most importantly know that these transfer over to your other playthroughs, so do not think you need to or have to get them all in one run.
