How to unlock the Fancy Fashion achievement in The Fancy Pants Adventures - Definitive Guide

When you complete a level that you have completed before, it allows you to choose your own reward. There should be at least one clothing choice among the pillars.

Redoing pirate cove will net you clothing items extremely fast, because once you gain the pencil, you can basically skip the entire level.

1. Go to the level select room, and select your choice level.
2. Complete the level.
3. Choose a clothing item for a reward.
4. Rinse and repeat.

There are specific clothing items that you can only gain by completing the bonus levels, and obtaining 100% in the game.

If you find that you still haven't obtained all the customization items after doing everything above, and the pillars aren't giving you new clothing items, try to do a quick complete run though the game.

I need 5 more pieces of clothing, and I am no longer getting anything from beating the levels (just 3 question marks and lives). Also I have beaten the game 100%...

There are a few levels in the game that have multiple bonus levels. From what I remember, you only need to complete one for it to show the bonus level as completed, so you might have overlooked the other bonus level givers.

I have actually had a few people send me messages, stating they are missing a few pieces and they have done absolutely everything, so it might possibly be a glitch.

Why do you say clothing? Don't you need to grab the weapons too?

As Carlos Again stated in his solution, repeating the 'Pirate Cove' level is the fastest way to get all the clothing items. However this method by itself may not unlock you all of the items.

When you've unlocked the majority of the items, instead of getting 1 life, 1 random item or 2 items at the end of the level, at some point you'll get only to choose between 1 life and 3 random items.

To get the remaining items you must repeat every single level again one more time. This includes all the levels from the main adventure as well as all the levels from world 1 and 2.
Doing so will get you instantly one item at the end of the level instead of the 'Choose your reward' room that you would normally get.

EDIT: The second run on every level must be done after you 100% that level. This means you need to 100% the game in order to get all the customizable items.
Thanks to AustinBlue for confirming this.

Ok. Well first off, I'd like to note that after beating that game 100%, running the whole thing again was pretty boring. So apparently, you guide is basically right. That is to say, if you want the achievement, you need to rerun the game: the main story and both original worlds. What happened with me was I ran through World 1 and got nothing. Then I ran through World 2 and got rewarded something every two levels or so. Then I redid the story levels and got nothing for every level I ran except for Forgotten Island where I got a tiki mask for my last item. So basically you need to rerun all the levels after you've cleared them 100%. Still not sure about what happened with the inconsistent rewarding in World 2, but your guide seems mostly solid from what I've seen. Thanks for the help, this achievement was bothering me for a while.

Thanks for confirming this, AustinBlue. I edited the original solution.

The reason that you didn't get an item every level was probably that you already beaten some levels one second time. When i rerun all the levels that happened to me also but only with 2 or 3 levels.

And if you've already beaten the whole game, doing a rerun it's not that boring. It takes 2-3 minutes per level most of the levels, or even less for some. Excluding that pirate ship level where you have to get all the keys. That one is pretty boring :P

Just nabbed this one.

I DID NOT have to make a second run through the game. I simply beat the game 100%, then just spammed the Pirate Cove level (at least 90 times!) Never had to make a second run through a before completed 100% level.

Not sure what I may have done differently??

It's strange. When you completed the levels 100%, did you get an item, or you got to choose the doors?

Also, you never had the 'all question mark doors' at the end of the level before having all the items?

Yeah it would just give me an item, never got doors unless I had to replay for a missed star or something, but obviously that wasnt a 100% replay. Never got full question mark doors until after I had obtained all items and cheevo.

So yeah I dunno lol

The best way to earn this achievement is to select the level: Pirate Cove, Plug In Two Controllers, Finish the level and repeat. Until you get all the items you need.

Good Luck :D

There are a total of 141 accessories. You need to complete all of the bonuses, achieve 100%, and replay any level to earn any prize you’re rewarded with at the end (hat/hair, pants, weapon, live(s), or a random prize (?)).

When you complete a level with 100%, always go for the items and don’t go for the question mark(s). This can also be done with two players, but you’re better off doing it alone because half of the time, you’ll run into the same wardrobe you’ve already collected, making it more time consuming. I recommend playing through levels 2 to 7. Just breeze through them until you’re at level 8, so that way you’ll have 6 accessories unlocked.

Or you could repeat Pirate Cove since it’ll take you under a minute to get to the end now that you’re equipped with the pencil. Keep repeating until you’ve earned your trophy.

To get this achievement you need 141 customizable items
Which breaks down to
10 in campaign from npc
6 from beating world 2 after having 100%
125 from end of level bonus
A few tips
I did this in coop and all items saved as I was host
Some npc did not give me item in coop I had to go back in single player and talk to them
and i did world 2 in single player after I 100% the game in coop
Last note as mentioned in other solutions princess pirate ship level is quickest way to grind the 125 items

This is a time consuming achievement but easy to attain. There are three categories of items to collect: Hats, pants and weapons. You will be awarded them by completing tasks for NPC's in each level and for beating the level. There are 141 items total to collect for the achievement. You will not have this by a long shot at the end of the game so you will have to grind it out. The easiest method is by going back to the story mission Pirate Cove after you've beaten it. Just run forward onto the pirate ship and knock down the stack of pirates which will finish the level off. It only takes about 20 seconds. The reason to do this is that at the end of each level you will be awarded an item and it is almost always one that you need. Just keep doing this until you have them all. Checking the chalk board in Fancy Pants bedroom will show how many of the 141 you have. Due note that there are a few items which can only by acquired through NPC missions in the game.

After completing the level, you are asked to choose a prize, choose clothes there. Some items of clothing are given only after completing the game 100% . If you haven’t completed something, go through a certain level again. Clothes are stored in the protagonist's wardrobe.
