How to unlock the Can't Trust Banks achievement in The Surge 2 - Definitive Guide

You get scrap from killing enemies. You get extra scrap if you use a finishing move. Also, the more enemies you kill without visiting the med station, the higher the scrap multiplier. I believe the multiplier goes as high as 3x so go on a killing spree.

You find scrap caches with extra scrap arond. The scrap in the caches doesn't count towards this. YOu have to manually open the caches from your inventory. If you disassemble the caches in the med station, it won't count (the scrap will be banked, you will not be carrying it)

To get the achievement you need to have 100,000 scrap on you.

You will get this naturally at the beginning of NG+, since you get about 150K for the final boss.

I started my NG+ with 0 scrap. Don't know why that happened though.

You will also get this naturally if you do the DLC achievement to do 25 waves of enemies for Proto.

This achievement is not as scary as it sounds. You'll need to have 100k scrap on your character at the same time (not banked at the med bay) to get it, but even on death you can always reclaim your scrap. You get 2m30s to reclaim your scrap, with kills adding another 20s to the counter. The best way to do this though is to begin the Mr. Scrappy side-quest (the vending machine on the top level of Seaside Court) and wait until you have 50 audiologs to turn them in. The top tier is 50k scrap alone, and there are a few tiers below that. This should get you close if not all the way to 100k, then you can just kill basic enemies in the streets (respawning them by entering a med bay whenever necessary) to make up any difference.

Easy trophy.
In a normal passage, it is done at levels 45 - 55, you just need to run through the city and the area in front of the wall two or three times - where the hospital and AID fortifications are.

Or in NG+, when there will be more difficult opponents - and the reward will be greater.
I recommend using an implant with which you get more spare parts.

The simplest option, besides the usual caution, is to stupidly not use boxes of spare parts until they accumulate a total of 100k+. After which you need to manually hide them from your inventory so that the spare parts fall “into your hands” and not into the “bank”.
The longest way, but for some it may be simple, after accumulating 100k in the bank, go to the Port location and buy kebabs from Penny for this 100k, and then open it again manually in the inventory (but this is very long).

You can also exit the game immediately after death so as not to lose spare parts

You can get 50,000 from a machine in the first peaceful zone for 50 collected audio files, and the rest by disassembling scrap metal.
