How to unlock the Resonator achievement in Thor: God of Thunder - Definitive Guide

5G for this pain in the .... anyway.

INTRO:
When you arrive at the Resonator room, long yellow beams of electricity will travel towards you and you can hop over them. To clear the room you need to smash the 8 power cells and the achievement requires you to not be hit.

The save point and checkpoint are both outside the room, so you can try many times until you succeed. This strategy will get it done quickly. It's still hard though.

Beams change after every 2 cells are destroyed.
No cells destroyed = 1 beam
2 cells destroyed = 3 beams in a line
4 cells destroyed = 5 beams in a line
6 cells destroyed = alternating beams, 1 beam, 1 space.
The Beams pause, whilst they change to the new pattern.

TACTICS:
Run to the end of the room and jump the easy 1 beam. Destroy the end 2 on the right, let the beam pause and as the first 3beam starts, hop over and destroy the 2 cells at the end of the left side.

Jump over the next 3 beam and they will pause to power up the 5beam, smash the 2nd cell on the right and rush back. Hide in the back corner right against the wall, the beams won't be able to hit you in this little pocket. They will by the door so don't hide there.

Equip lightning, wait for a space and run out and lightning the last cell on the left. Step into the pocket and when the next 5 beam passes (you could be brave and try and jump over with dash), they'll pause for the dreaded alternating beam rush to the left hand side and hammer throw the 1st on the right, now jump and dash towards the 2nd on the right and hammer throw it.

If you jump-dashed over the 2nd 5beam, the last part is much easier.
(Getting these last 2 is the hard part i think, but as soon as you hit the last cell the beams will disappear so don't worry about where you land just hitting those last 2 cells.)

RECAP:
Destroy last 2 on right
wait and jump 3beam
Destroy last 2 on left
jump next 3 beam
run back and hide in pocket
Destroy first on left
wait and rush for right during pause.
Destroy last 2 on right

OTHER INFO:
The achievement pops in the next cutscene. If you get hit you can quit and continue outside the room. Save just incase you get hit and destroy the last beam.

I did this on Valhallen Difficulty, I tried it several times to make sure i perfected it. Lower difficulties might be easier (slower beams) and if you have any ways to make this tactic easier i will update it.) I always clicker right stick to power up my hammer throws, but it's not essential

In the room after the Scabrite mine save point, after flying between and destroying the drills, you will see yellow beams moving along the floor towards you. These are the Resonator beams.
To stop them you need to destroy the power cells in the recesses along each wall. I found the best way was to hammer throw each one on the right as you jump over the beams and then run over to the left while the wide beam charges up. Hammer throw at the far left cell as you jump over the wide beam and then run back down the room using lightning strikes to destroy the last 3 cells before the tricky closely spaced beams can get to you.

I used the max wind ability so I can float across and get the last three. Thx for the tip.

For me it was simply clicking the right stick. Meant I didn't have to reach the end of the room and was given plenty of warning for the beams.

I used a combo of all three to finally get this dumb ach. I hammer threw the first 3 on the right. Waited at the far end of the room near the fire (backside of where beam spawns). Odin threw the near cells (right and left - 5 cells destroyed). Then ran up and used cyclone on last 2 left (towards front of room). You dont take any damage from beams when using cyclone to float above them.

In Muspelheim, there's a room in which lasers fly towards you, horizontally. On either side of the room there are 4 pillars with a moving power core inside. You have to smash all 8 of these without being hit by a laser to unlock this. If you do get hit, immediately pause and quit, then continue from the main menu.
