This achievement is now unobtainable due to EA closing down servers like there is no tomorrow, sorry folks.

For this one you have to wait until there is an actual golfing competition in at the moment. To find out, simply head over to 'live tournaments' from the main menu, then if you select the 'play the pros' tab it will say either no tournaments or 'x' tournaments available. Just keep trying until there is one on, best bet look on PGA's website, then just play the 18 holes no matter what your score is the achievement will pop when you have finished the round.

Can you still do this? There is no Play the Pros tournaments.

Yeah, just check to see when the next big golfing tournament is and keep checking the game's menus.

Actually, EA stopped support for Play the Pros in Tiger '10 pretty much as soon as Tiger '11 was released in the US. It is now impossible to get 1000GS in this game.

I see that this has now been marked as discontinued. Maybe you should edit your solution to avoid confusion.

Well I just booted up the game and it stated that this upcoming weekend will be the last chance to get this achievement. So 7/29-7/31/2010 is the last chance to get this.

Play the Pros is an online mode where you try to compete against scores form whatever PGA Tour event is on in the real world that week. Although the event is generally played over 4 rounds, you will only have to complete 1. Your score does not matter, so just finish your round and sign your card.
