How to unlock the Tournament Pro achievement in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters - Definitive Guide

Heres an easier solution for the TOURNAMENT PRO achievement

1 : Just before you start a round in Road to the Masters, goto My Career :- Options :- Game Options and turn the difficulty to TOURNAMENT.

2 : Start the event and play the FIRST hole, when the game load up the second hole and you are on the tee press START and SAVE AND EXIT

3: Return to the option and set difficulty back to AMATUER

4: Return to the Road to the Masters, reselect the event you were playing, and press A on the RESUME

5: Continue playing the round until you are on the 18th tee

6: On the 18th tee again press START and SAVE AND EXI|T

7: Again go to options and change the difficulty back to TOURNAMENT

8: Complete the 18th hole and the achievement will pop

As an added bonus if you already haven`t got the pin for `NO FOCUS` you will recieve this aswell. Even if you used it during the section you were on amatuer, the game thinks you played all 18 on Tournament level and since you cant use focus in this mode it gives you.

Hope this helps some people out

This works great, but you don't even need to change it back to Tournament before the 18th hole. My achievement popped even though I forgot to change it back.

This one only partially worked for me. I got the No Focus pin, but not the achievement. I did this for two rounds, didn't get it on either round. I forget what I shot on 1 and 18 at Royal Melbourne the first time, but I shot par and double bogey the second time(tournament putting kills me). I thought maybe I had to shoot birdie on 1 or 18 and par the other, but I didn't read that anywhere. Any ideas?

I confirm what ATCS says. I purposely did not change it back to tournament on the 18th hole and the achievement still pops. THANKS!

This was extremely helpful. I'm not the greatest at this game, so any help is appreciated. A couple of times I knew I was going to bogey a hole so I just saved and quit and ressumed. The achievement and no-focus pin both still popped.

Great guide Central. Not sure why you would get a negative vote. Confirmed ATCS and Agent Smith. No need to change difficulty at 18.

The best thing to do here is do the play now option and choose:
18 holes at St Andrews
White Tees
Calm
Sunny
Average Course Conditions (this is so the ball runs a bit better on the greens, a big help when you cant tell what speed you are using)
Easy pin locations.

Be Tiger unless you have a fully upgraded golfer. Then when you playing the round just always choose the safe option from the caddie off the tee and then the flag option for the next shot. Even if he suggests a iron from the tee, the holes are so short you will still have easy shot to the green. even with a lot of missed putts you still should be fine to get -1.

Please note you cannot create a custom course and just use hole 9 of St Andrews for every hole. I tried this and the achievement did not pop.

I ended up with -4 with this solution, thanks!
One addition to the putting, you will probably have some feeling with greens in the tour. Use this here to read the green, because there is no circle to guide you. When you are done with the green reading, hold back the left stick, but do NOT continue the put immediately. Get a feel of the vibe of your controller when holding the stick. This will help you with the right speed selection. Just let go of the stick to reset to the address position. Now put for real and remember when the vibe came to take the put at that point.

Just popped this one legit, first try. Waialae -11. For those of you that want it legit, play Waialae like TTDog666 mentioned. The greens are flat and easy to read. Listen to your caddie and try to recreate the same putting tempo you've come to know when playing a lower difficulty. Good luck!
