How to unlock the Waldo's Daddy achievement in Tornado Outbreak - Definitive Guide

Here are my videos showing how I got a Gold score in each stages.
Collectibles are not needed to get the scores, but I wanted to show where I could get the score and still have enough time to get them in the way.

Edit : It is confirmed that Chicken con Carnage is not needed for the Waldo's Daddy achievement. Thanks to you, Marx0r!

Doing FSM's work, man. You might want to add that the high score for Chicken con Carnage is apparently NOT required for the achievement. I'll be confirming it shortly, gonna spend the next few days getting this achievement.

Confirmed, Chicken con Carnage is not needed for the Waldo's Daddy achievement. You can see for yourself, the score screen at the end doesn't have any icons for unlockables.

Good call, I too didn't do Chicken con Carnage and it popped right after my last non-tutorial mission.

Take your fairly easy 970 and quit now... You don't want this achievement. You don't want to lose this part of your life. Still here? Ok, don't say I didn't warn you.

You should probably finish the rest of the game first. Some of these can't be unlocked until certain skills are unlocked (like Ground Pound for the rock guys). As you go through the first play through, try your best to get all 100 flyers on each zone of each stage. This way when you are collecting the other things, you aren't worried about getting more than 50 for each stage (just to finish the zone). Also when running the collections, have a buddy (if you have someone willing to help) take controller 2. Anything they unlock counts as long as you finish the level. It allows you to split the searching up (note you will want to be solo when going for the scores since each player having a lower multiplier won't be as good as a single player having a higher multiplier).

Bonus :
* Collect all 100 flyers for each zone.
* Collect all rock guys. (can start this after getting pound)
* Collect all water girls. (can start this after getting dash)
* Gold Each vortex race (no missed gates)
* Gold Level Finishes for each stage (unlocks a movie) :
Chicken Con Carnage: 850,000
(You may unlock the achievement without having to get a gold on Chicken Con Carnage as noted in the notes)
Double Wide Damage: 1,500,000
Military Mayhem: 2,200,000
High Roller Blowout: 2,500,000
Carnival Chaos: 2,200,000
Ringling Village: 2,100,000
Camelot Falls: 1,800,000
Coastal Calamity: 1,800,000

Score is directly linked to how many flyers you grab at ONCE. So try to find paths that let you get 60+ in one pass. Always upgrade your tornado to level 5-7 before starting your run at the flyers. This will ensure maximum multiplier and a better chance at the score. If you don't think you have enough, retry the zone before moving on. Remember when dashing, you won't pick up flyers. So use your dash to get past things you aren't ready to break.

Each of these can be unlocked at the SAME time, or on different runs. When you finish the level, the colored bonuses are the ones you have, where the ghost ones are not yet unlocked.

Once you have all unlocks (sans Chicken if you want). Beat the end boss again, and watch the credits to unlock the achievement.

If you think I'm missing information, let me know.

I choose to follow the advice given in the first paragraph. Thanks though. Kudos on the well thought out guide.

Chicken Con Carnage: 850,000. I got the achievement without setting a high score on this level. Only the collectibles are needed, there is no gold to be earned.

oohcaoofoof, once you get everything unlocked, you must replay the last level (final boss) and watch the entire ending.

Very nice guide, but I'm just wondering, is it really that bad? It doesn't seem like too hard of an achievement ...

Hmm, alright, well thanks for the info. Game is pretty fun/simple so I won't mind going for all the scores, even if it takes me a while. And again, thanks for the guide :)

Nice guide. It is not that difficult it requires more patience than anything else. It took me some hours to get the max score for Higher Roller Blowout and Camelot Falls.

I am also going to confirm that you do not need to get the high score on Chicken Con Carnage for this achievement.

It really isn't a hard achievement. It's just a matter of trial and error.

I don't understand why the majority of people think that catching 100 fireflies at once is the hardest achievement of the game... THIS one is the hardest in my opinion.

The fact that this is a fun game is what got me motivated to do this twice.

The movies are always for "GOLDING" the level (getting a good score). Check each level and find out which movie isn't lit up. You'll have to get a gold score on that one. I did have an issue once where I thought I had unlocked a movie, and it didn't stay unlocked. I think it was on Double Wide Damage. If that's the case for anyone else, just use it as your last level and the achievement should still pop, even if the unlockable doesn't stay unlocked.

It's not horrible... just very unforgiving. To get some of the scores you have to make basically "perfect" runs at the levels. Absorbing 80+ flyers in one "pass". I didn't have a way to capture my runs on the levels (hence no video posted) but you could easily play a given level 30 or 40 times to figure out a good path. Once you pass that part of the level (1/3rd the entire level) you can't replay that first section unless you start back from scratch. So if you finish part 1 with what you think is enough points, then it turns out part 2 is really hard -- you may have to start all over with part 1 and get an even better run, to make up for how bad part 2 is.

In the end, it CAN be done, it will just take planning, patience, and little luck.

Hi guys, the guide is perfect and if you reach the scoring described, collect all the rocks, fires and all the girls of water, slides and movies will be unlocked, then to unlock the achievement you will need to defeat the final boss and watch the credits end when done nice achievement!.
This achievement is hard and REMEMBER, TIME IS SHORT AND FUNDAMENTAL:
- Use dash and stomps in zones with large and few resources to update your tornado to level 5 or 6 you'll have to be quick, and destroy what we have in front even for that you need to sacrifice some fires.
- In the zones do 1800000 try (4 combos 20) or (3 combos of 30) or (2 combos of 40).
- You'll need a score 600000 in each zone but there will be one of the zones that you get between 640000 to 680000.
- Train enough if you do not meet any of the scores in the first zone does not continue, restart again to achieve this score.
- Never to the third zone with less than 1250000 it will be complicated and difficult to achieve the score.
- In areas between 2100000 to 2500000 worth the same rule but will be areas with different feature and is fast leveling to level 8, scores in these areas should always be above 750,000 cases you will need 900,000 so combos from 60 to 90 will be very important.
- Hope helped and contributed to my experience, this game is FANTASTIC!

At the end of each completed level on the screen you will see a list of how many water sprites, stone guys, points, and fire flyers you got in the level. (You can also view this before you select the level to replay it). You need to get all the fire flyers, the high score, all stone guys, and all water sprites in each level to unlock this trophy. You can replay levels at any time from the level select screen, and you can do this in local co-op.

You will not be able to collect any stone guys or water sprites until you progress far enough in the game and are given the ability to do so.

This is a list of the required score points for each level, thanks to blendy for providing us with the list:

Chicken Con Carnage: 850,000
Double Wide Damage: 1,500,000
Military Mayhem: 2,200,000
High Roller Blowout: 2,500,000
Carnival Chaos: 2,200,000
Ringling Village: 2,100,000
Camelot Falls: 1,800,000
Coastal Calamity: 1,800,000
