The easiest way to get your time under 10.00 seconds is to use the analogue stick to waggle left and right as quickly as you can. You can use the buttons but if you hit both buttons at the same time they'll cancel each other out so you'd need good rythym to do it that way. There are various techniques to get good speed but you'll have to try different things to find a way that suits you best to get the time required. Try and anticipate the starting gun going off as a good start can make a lot of difference.

Glitched. Glitched. Glitched. Did I mention glitched? I've done this under 10 seconds about 10 times while getting other achievements, but this one refuses to pop. I've tried deleting the game file and re-downloading - doesn't work.
I just want to warn others out there that this one can glitch. I'm at a loss at this point because I don't see any way to get it to pop. Any suggestions would, of course, by very much appreciated.

Just want to say that I did get this one to pop after figuring out what the issue was. For some reason, you can't earn this if you have the graphical setting on original. It must be set to enhanced. All other achievements seem to work with the original arcade graphical setting... weird.

While the above solution is all you need to unlock the achievement, I have encountered a glitch that was preventing me from unlocking it---If you turn the graphics and sound settings to standard, it will mysteriously disable it. Just get your time under 10 seconds while both settings are set to Enhanced and you'll unlock it.

Thank you! I done this a few times on standard settings but it didn't unlock which made me think I had to beat the cpu to get it, which I was never able to do as he's such a cheat. I even had a 9.22 draw against him and it still didn't unlock. Then I read this and not only did I unlock the achievement but I beat him too!

This is how I unlocked it;
1. Just move the LS from right to left/ left to right, and just use your palm.
