This requires just a bit of planning as there is very, very little food to be had in the desert (as you'd expect lol)
I got this by starting a run, immediately cannibalizing my tribe down to 15-20 (have managed this twice now) and collecting as much food as I can on the start of a run.

, or Y) so much, I received 2-3 "tokens of rage". (You can view any earned tokens by clicking 
, or right bumper, on the level selection screen")
Tokens of rage allow you to start the next level with 8 more tribesman. Tribesman that I, you guessed it, cannibalized at my earliest chance.
I made it past the desert with 95 food my first time and 134 my second time.
So long as you do not run out of food, thus slowly having tribesman die off from lack of food, you will pop this cheevo.
