How to unlock the A Dip in the Lake achievement in Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince - Definitive Guide

Story-related and cannot be missed.

This trophy is for completing the fourth level in Act III, Firwood Water. At the end of this level, however, you'll have to face a trio of bosses: Sir Cronus, Sir Rheana, and Sir Florianus. For this boss fight, you will only be able to play as Pontius the Knight. After you beat them, the trophy will pop. For info on how to defeat the bosses, look below or watch the video:

This fight has multiple phases. First, you will have to fight each boss alone, then 2 at a time, and then at the end, you'll fight all 3 simultaneously.

Your first boss will be Sir Cronus. He will slam his Morningstar towards you. You'll know where it lands as there will be a red circle on the ground indicating where it will hit. When you dodge it, it will land on the ground, at which point you need to use Pontius' Charge move () to slam it back into him. Once you do, it will stun him, at which point you need to go attack him a few times with your sword.

Next will be Sir Rheana. His attack will be to run to you and slam his sword at you, which you'll need to dodge so that it will slam into the ground, releasing two purple balls in opposite directions. Use Pontius' shield (holding :R3: in his direction) to bounce one of the balls back at Sir Rheana. Again, this will stun him at which point you will need to attack him a few times with your sword.

Finally you will face Sir Florianus who will stand on a high platform and throw his spear down at you (don't try to block this, it will break your shield). Move so it won't hit you and instead will stick into the ground at the same angle. You need to run up the spear to reach Florianus and hit him a few times with your sword. If you have trouble, run up the spear, jump up, and then charge at him and hit him. Even if you don't do so well with this platforming section, just hitting him once will drop him to the ground where you can continue to attack him.

Once you've successfully hit each boss once, you'll fight Sir Cronus and Sir Rheana together, and you'll need to repeat the same actions as you did the first time. When you successfully hit one, that one will back away and the next one will join.

Finally, once you finish that phase, the last phase will be all 3 of them simultaneously and again you'll need to repeat the same strategy & actions until you've again successfully hit each of them one more time.
