I did my play through as a ranger type. By the time I got to this quest, I had 25 trap Oculuses (or should it be Oculi) in my inventory that would do 8,000 damage per hit. After moving forward to activate the fight I backed off to one of the side areas where her spitting attacks could not hit me.
