How to unlock the Contractor achievement in Two Worlds II - Definitive Guide

This is actually a very easy achievement but it will cost you some auras.

First of all you need to have a multiplayer character that has 10.000 auras on him. In order to do that i suggest that you play the first multiplayer mission ( Way to Vokhar) , gather all loot from enemies and sell that at the local merchants. Dorthar will reward you with 1000 auras at the end of the mission as well, there is also a chest hidden in the wall near Gonthar at the end of the mission near the mine entrance.

Selling all your loot will earn you about 15.0000 auras and the mission takes less than 5 minutes if you are using a character of a decent level, you may want to repeat this process a couple of times at later times.

Now, you have 10.000 auras so you can start your village mode. This 10.000 will be put in the village treasure but you can transfer your auras back to your personal belongings anytime you want. During the village tutorial you will be asked to build a ranch and a shop to get things rolling. Now, you are free to build your village the way you like, ranches are the cheapest possible buildings and they cost you 2.000 auras each. So basically you can build 13 ranches ( you already have 1 and a shop) costing you 26.000 auras and get the achievement. Upgrades do not count towards the achievement.

[Achievement Unlocked]

From this point forward i am going to elebortate on how your village can be succesfull for those who like to know.

There are buildings that earn you money and there are buildings that cost you money but provide you with additional services so you gotta determine for yourself what you like to have for your village. You can determine what emphasis you want as you cannot have it all.

1: Financial
2: Bows & Quivers
3: Weaponry & Armor
4: Potions
5: Crystals & Explosives.

You need buildings that earn you money in order to pay for those that have an upkeep like guard posts, mines , forges , churches etc. Farms, windmills , Ranches and shops earn you money when used in the right order.
2 farms can work with one windmill so try to keep a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio. When you have a surplus your citizens will demand that you build a shop which allows you to sell the surplus. Now if you are just in it for the money then you should stick to building these things and whatever your citizens demand otherwise your profit will start to decrease over time.

However, your shops can sell other things you produce such as armor and weaponry for discounted prices and these weapons and armor generally have a higher quality than the ones sold by normal sellers in the multiplayer. Specializing in something requires a lot of money and will reduce your profit ( a mine has an upkeep of 3.000 for example) .

Whatever you do, be sure to fight off any threats that attack your village and always meet their demands ( press B and scroll down) otherwise your people will get pissed off and your profits will decrease.

In the 1st mission, about halfway through or so, there is also a chest behind a low wall on your left in building you pass through. Necris and undead attack you as you pass through or shortly after.

For those of you just wanting to get this achievement done without wasting an excessive amount of time:

Before you can begin Village Mode, your MP character will need to have at least 10,000 auras (gold). This can easily be gotten by playing the first mission in Adventure Mode once or twice.

Once you enter Village Mode, you'll get a short tutorial on how to build various buildings. You'll be asked to build a Ranch, a Shop, and a Guardhouse.

Money is earned every 6 hours of game time, or every 6 minutes of real time. After completing the tutorial you will only have an income of 100 auras every 6 minutes, and the cheapest building costs 2,000 auras (the Ranch) which would make this take forever.

After the tutorial is complete, go over to the Guardhouse and disassemble it, since it costs you 300 auras to maintain it. You will get back the 2,000 auras you spent on it, so build another ranch with it instead. Now you will have an income of 500 auras every 6 minutes, instead of 100 auras. Now build more Ranches with any remaining funds you have.

From this point on, build only ranches which will increase your income by 100 auras each. The guardhouse is unnecessary. The happiness of the villagers will drop, but your income will never be affected. My villager happiness stayed around 46% for the whole time and income was not affected.

This is still going to be a boring grind just waiting for money to accumulate, but this will make it go a lot faster. There is a bit of exploring you can do on the map, but nothing really worthwhile. Occasionally, the village leader will send you off somewhere to kill something - usually the graveyard. That's about it.

Village Mode is accessed via the Multiplayer menu, although you play this mode solo. A short tutorial when you first play this mode will teach you how to build buildings.

The Ranch is the cheapest building you can build, at 2000 auras per building. Accumulate 30,000 auras and then walk around your village building Ranches where ever possible to unlock this trophy.

Remember, you can transfer across your auras from your character to Village Mode by pressing and then while in your Village.

In the network game there is a Village Mode; we create our own village, where friends can visit us, we can produce weapons, etc. We need to build 15 houses.

There is an easy way to get the trophy. We need about 30k money in our personal account. Easy to obtain while playing co-op missions. We launch the village mode and go through training. We will have 3 buildings. We go to the village statistics (this is a scroll, by default it hangs on the circle). Then click on the triangle on the joystick. This way we can transfer personal money to the village budget. We translate, build a ranch for 2k gold. We put them everywhere in the amount of 12 more and the trophy is ours.

To build you need to build 15 buildings. It will require a lot of money. First we build buildings that do not require maintenance. For example, a farm, a shop, etc. Don't forget to improve. If your income is more than 1000, you can think about other buildings that require maintenance (fortress, tower of magicians, etc.). When building a village, do not forget to complete the quests that the village chief gives you.
