How to unlock the Desert Rose achievement in Two Worlds II - Definitive Guide

This is an optional quest.

On the Erimos Island (chapter 1) in the city of Hatmandor, you'll have to find Basel (the big house across the teleporter) and complete a few quests for him. Once you complete the quest "Maliel's Tear" (might be slightly different as I'm playing a non-English version of the game), a new quest will be made available: The Transaction. The first quest has you stealing Maliel's Tear from the temple in Hatmandor and the second makes you meet Mirage, Tongue and Reesa.

Without spoiling you, 2 choices are offered in that last quest. The achievement definitely unlocks whatever side you choose. Credits to Frankie Godskin for confirming the second choice.

That doesn't qualify as "missable," since you can get that questline at anytime. It's possible to overlook that quest tree, but you can always go back and do it later, so it's not "missable" by our definition. A missable achievement is one that you can't get after the story progresses beyond a certain point. Please edit your text to omit the "missable" line.

Fair enough, I'll edit it out. But it's still not certain that the achievement unlocks when choosing the other side, which might result as being "missable".

Just confirmed the achievement pops regardless of which side you choose. I chose to "let them fight their own fight" and still got the cheevo. Then I reloaded and did it the nice way out of guilt.

Thanks Frankie for the confirmation. I'll edit the solution.

One of the quests leading up to this one can be glitchy. After freeing Mazon, make sure to talk to Reesa in her house before you leave, or you can't finish the quest, which makes this one getting this achievement impossible.

You can re-enter the house anytime she's there on my version, ans she doesn't leave until you finish the Mirage quest. Maybe a glitch for you Muffin?

Missable

One of three Hidden Trophies. Confronting Mirage is a little confusing as there are so many alternate paths you can take during these quests.

As part of the Hatmandor Quest line, you will be tasked to investigate a string of murders in the city, which will lead you to multiple people and quests. The sure-fire way of earning this trophy is to give Valarin as little information as possible, and help Reesa as much as possible.

I earned this trophy by completing these Quests in this order:

- Valarin's Informant - the Murders
- The Third Man
- A Friend in Need
- Maliel's Tear
- The Transaction
- Valarin's Informant - Mirage's Identity

*easy to miss

The trophy is given for the “correct” completion of a chain of quests in Hatmandor. You need to establish the identity of a certain Mirage.

Approximate quest chain -

Valarin's Informant - The Murderers, The Third Man, A Friend in need, Maliel's Tear, The Transaction, Valarin's Informant - Mirage's Identity.

As you progress, you will meet Reesa. So, to get the trophy, you need to help her at any cost. I won’t spoil it, but never refuse her requests and always help. I advise you to save in separate saves more often (in the last quest of the chain you need to make the right choice, it is not obvious). If you do everything correctly, you will receive a trophy and something else. )))))

Somewhere in the middle of the chain you will need to collect dragon scales. After leaving the cave where you collected them, under no circumstances sell them to the merchant who offers to buy them. Take them to the person who gave the quest.
