How to unlock the It's A Trap! achievement in Two Worlds II - Definitive Guide

You will find the Trap skill in the dungeon during the quest "Tower Path" or something alike (since I'm playing a non-English version) at the end of chapter 1. You can't miss it, it's on the way.

Once you have read the book, you can set traps in sneaking mode (press LT while no weapon is equiped) and pushing either X, Y or B. You'll set a different trap depending on the button you push. The one automatically attributed to Y is a default trap that stops an enemy walking on it for a few seconds. If you wait until the trap releases the enemy, you can take it back and repeat the process.

Any trap works for that achievement and by the moment you find the skill book, you should have quite plenty to dispose of. If you're in a hurry, you can get the achievement by repeating that process 40 times on the next enemy you find.

The achievement counts how many enemies were hit by a trap, not how many traps you set. As usual, make sure you save before reaching 40 traps. You can keep track of your stats by pressing B while no weapon is equiped.

Also, the oculus that can deploy bombs also count for this achievement. over half of my "traps" were due to these.
Theoretically it would be possible to earn the achievement before you get the trapper skill if you had enough oculus (ocului?).

Ryowebo's information is correct, I'd just like to add a few things. The name of the quest is "Way to the Tower" and it is part of the main story line quest "Chapter 1: Steps to the Tower". You will receive this quest after you awaken the Army of Golems. As posted, you will find the book sitting on an alter in the maze-like cave. You will not miss it as it is in the center of a room and it is glowing, plus it's on the correct path when navigating through the cave.

In my opinion, the best trap to use is the Spike Trap and the best enemy to use it on is a Mummy due to how clumsy and inaccurate they are. There are tons of Mummies in the area, just find a single mummy and repeatedly drop the Spike Trap while kiting him through a hallway.

I find the Spike Trap the best because it is able to be picked back up within about a second of snaring the monster, therefore making it very easy to get 40 snares in a short amount of time. Also, you can use the Spike Trap without having to spend any points in the Trapper talent: you can use it at level 1. If you don't have one of these on hand however, you'll have to settle with a slower one.

Using my method I was able to get this achievement in under 5 minutes and I wasn't even hit. Very simple if you wanna hurry up and get this achievement finished. Even if you have to use slower traps, it will only take you a few extra minutes.

2 holding traps combined with the spike trap make things go even faster. set one holding trap then lure the chosen enemy to it. when it is trapped take a few steps and set the spike trap then take a few more steps and set the second holding trap. lure the enemy through the spike trap into the second holding trap then go on the other side of the enemy and repeat the process and go back and forth playing ring around the rosie until it pops.

Great solution. Spike traps on mummies are definitely an easy way to get this done fast.

To be able to set Traps and Bombs, you must first acquire the skill by either buying the skillbook from a shop, by finding it in a chest, or by receiving it as a reward for a quest. Once you unlock the skill, distribute some skill points to improve it, allowing you to set a higher number of traps and bombs.

The easiest way to get this trophy is to upgrade your Trapper skill to it's maximum, and then purchasing an Advanced Holding Trap. Set the trap as a Hot-Key from your inventory. Now while in game, hold down to sneak, and then press the button related to the hot-keyed trap to set it. An enemy MUST step in your trap for it to register towards this trophy.

Walk around Varn camps and areas of wildlife, get their attention, and then set your trap. Once an enemy has walked into it (it will die if you're using an advanced trap) pick up the trap and repeat the process 39 times. Use traps rather than bombs, because traps can be used an infinite amount, while bombs only last for one use.

I recommend doing this when your a high level so you don't take a lot of damage from enemies. Follow the above process and you should get the trophy with little trouble.

This stat can be followed by visiting your Reputation Book in your inventory.

To do this, you need to find or buy a skill book. Next, select a bomb available at this skill level, then place it on the ground, it is better to display the bomb on the quick slot panel.

Let me add that a bomb only counts if an enemy stumbles upon it, that is, the enemy must fall into a trap. If you just place bombs, the counter won’t move. . Any enemy will do, be it humanoid or beast. It is better to do it on wild boars, as they will always run after you and you can make 3 traps on them.
