How to unlock the Slight of Hand achievement in Two Worlds II - Definitive Guide

Tedious achievement, the 10 points are not worth the work if you ask me.

But if you want to do it, here is the best way:

Wait till you finished the main quest an make a save, then go to a soul master and reduce your skills so that you have enough points to increase your steeling skill to maximum level. (The stealing skill ist found in the assasins skill tree)

Stealing can only be perrformed on persons who are distracted.
A person is distracted when buying something at a market stand or when listening to an anouncer.

Go to Cheznadar and walk to the south part of the city. There ist a large market and an anouncer.
Wait till a person is listening to the anouncer or buys something at one of the shops. (Wait till he has a object in hand)
Go behind the person and press A. Your charakter will slowly move his hand forward, you have to wait 1-2 seconds and then the pickpocket minigame will start.

You see three snakes rotating around a pouch, and a hand outside the 3 snakes. The goal is to find the moment an the position when all three openings between tail ans mouth of the snakes match and move the hand there and press A.
The easiest way to do so ist to press the analog stick in one direction and slowly rotate it around with the opening of the outside snake and wait till the two other openings match, then press a. May take a while.

When done right the hand will move to the pouch and the pickpocketing was succesful.

Rince and repeat 24 times and you´ll get the cheevo.

Can be done on other markets too, but I found it easiest in Cheznadar, because there are 4-5 market stands and the anouncer, so you dont have to wait long for a person who is distracted.

I did it all on people listening to announcers. There are usually about 5 people there at a time, so it's faster than waiting for them to buy something.

Cheznadar is the best place to get this achievement after completing the quest Buyout that you can accept from Bouncer who can be found in the Hatmandor Sewers. Also the skill book that teaches you steal is found near Bouncer so you can do the quest.

This achievement, along with Fortune and Glory (explore 25 dungeons), are easily the most frustrating achievements in the game. After a lot of trial and error, and some very frustrating moments that nearly made me smash my controller, I have a method that works.

First off, just following the outside snake around and mashing A when the openings line up will not work 95% of the time. I spent two hours trying this way and I succeeded twice. Don't do it.

Instead, hold down on the A button while following the outside snake's opening around until all three snake openings are lined up. Then release A and quickly tap it again, repeatedly. This should snag the pouch. As others have noted there is a little leeway for the hand to shoot through, meaning that the openings don't have to be precise. I've noticed that the hand has a tendency to shoot through the first snake's head more so than the tail.

As far as location, I preferred the central market area around the teleporter in New Ashos. There are two market areas to the north and southeast (by the bulletin board) of here, and there all also two gongs that people tend to speak from. When this happens a good sized crowd usually forms. I noticed that people tend to keep coming as well, which makes stealing that much easier. I snagged my last 10 pouches this way. You can easily get this achievement in about 25-30 minutes this way, if not less, depending on the randomness of the snakes.

Finally, do not waste any skill points on thievery, as it is a useless skill aside from earning this achievement. There are much quicker and more rewarding ways to make money. So save, see a Soulpatcher, and use the points to max out the thievery skill. Steal away, saving after each in a separate slot just in case you mess up. Once you have the achievement reload your pre-Soulpatcher save, and continue with the game.

Good luck!

The trick seems to be that you can't be moving the control stick while pressing A. After failing for 20 minutes, I had a long string of successes in a row by letting off the control stick when the snakes line up.

I don't know if the game had a new update since the solutions above we're written or not but this achievement is not that hard. I was able to be successful with all 25 attempts. Make sure you have full skill points in thievery so you have more time. The town I used is directly north east of Hatmandor. It's a really small market town.

Here's what you do. Stand behind a person that's in front of a market stand. Once they have a market item in their hand get behind them and click A. The mini game starts. Hold the left thumb stick outward and slowly follow the open outside snake and when the three snakes line up click A. You don't have to be perfect. I swear mine touched the snakes and still worked.

To steal from people you must first learn how to. In the sewers of Cheznaddar you will meet a German known as "Bouncer". Agree to play his game. He will tell you to meet him by some guards so you can pickpocket them. This is a Thieves Guild Quest called "Buyout" (click for walkthrough).

The three guards you steal from during that quest count towards this trophy, so steal from another 22 people to unlock this trophy.

To steal from people, you must wait for all three snakes to be aligned so there is a clear line from your hand to the sack of money. Use to rotate the hand, and press to grab the money. If you run out of time or press too many times you will alert the person and fail stealing from them.

You must upgrade your Thievery skill to get this trophy. A great place to steal from people is Hatmandor. Simply approach people standing still, from behind, to begin stealing from them. Many people stand still in Hatmandor while looking at items from shops.

This stat can be followed by visiting your Reputation Book in your inventory.
