How to unlock the Who's Next? achievement in Two Worlds II - Definitive Guide

Everything Vursus said is correct, I just wanted to add that you can get the achievement much earlier if you use the Invisibility spell. To make the Invisibility spell combine an Air - Effect with an Enchant - Carrier card and at least 1 Time - Modifier (each additional Time card increases the duration of the invisibility at the cost of more mana, base duration is 30 seconds).

The best enemies to kill are the Varn as Vursus mentioned. You can find Varn along the path south of Bayan towards Jurban as well as many more Varn if you continue from Jurban to Oros Village by taking the path North East out of Jurban. If you've exhausted the supply of Varn in the Savannah there are still more on the path to Hatmandor if you have completed Desertgate.

Something worth adding. If you are trying to sneak up on someone and they see you, you can run away until they disengage and then try again. You'll still get credit for the assassination.

I would like to point out that when seeing how many kills you have for this, on the scroll they came under assasinations for me, not death strike. There was no term 'death strike' used on the scroll when recording deaths.

Also, if you exhuasted all the VARN in the main area between the towns, be aware that there are 5-6 VARN settlements far EAST of the Savannah. You will have to come to this part of the map when you are searching for the dungeons as there are 10 out of the 25 on the east and south of the Savannah.

Got to love the Varn who just stand and face a rock and not paying attention to the main road :)

Death Strike (if you're like me and was wondering for ages, ''how do I equip this skill?'') is simply your assassination technique that you acquire early in the game after escaping from the castle. This can only be used on enemies that have their back to you and when other enemies in the vicinity are not aware of your presence. Notably, these enemies MUST be standing upright (sitting enemies will not work, and they cannot be walking. Furthermore, they must be on a gradient equal to the player, they cannot be higher up a hill for instance or you will not be able to perform the assassination.

Fear not however as there is a huge amount of opportunities to gain this within the game and if you're nearing the end of the game and thinking, ''I only have like 10 death strike kills'' (total can be viewed in the reputation log) there is a late game item that makes this very achievable. For doing a quest ''The Holy Grail'' you will gain an item aptly named ''The Holy Grail'' that makes you completely invisible for a minute - how awesome is that! Simply get this item and find camps of the Varn (the wolf enemies) that are found on Erimos in chapter 1 and use it to assassinate the guards located around the camp. Better yet, The Holy Grail is re-usable, but it does have a short recharge rate so just go from camp to camp ripping through the enemies.

-----------------------------------------

This solution will only work if you have not killed all of the Varn on Erimos, so be sure to leave any unnecessary ones alive for later in the game as you can easily return

------------------------------------------
* Thanks to both Ryowebo, mindphluxnet and MastahMatt (I apologise for not making the solution completely clear) for helpful input. *

They also need to be standing. Sitting enemies don't work.

And it's also not working if the enemy is slightly higher than the player's character, like on hills. This happened to me quite a lot, but no biggie since there are a lot to finish off.

And, even worse, it doesn't work with enemies that are walking around.

Thanks for the input, I'll add those bits. The method of using the holy grail on the humanoid wolfs has standing enemies that are generally on level ground so they should make it fairly easy for the achievement.

It's unfortunate that I read this solution before attempting it. The solution led me to believe that I could wait until the end of the game to get the achievement. What it fails to mention is that all of the varn (the wolf enemies) are found on Erimos in chapter 1. If you go through chapter 1 and slaughter all of them, you will have no more enemies to get this achievement on. I wish this simple fact had been mentioned in the solution, as now I have to start over to get this stupid achievement. Very, very frustrating.

If you're out of Varns on the Savannah, another excellent choice is Groms on the original island (if you never cleared them out). A lot of them are walking or sitting, but even so I picked up the 8 kills I had left in just a few minutes.

Ah, well I'm sorry that it was misinterpretted that way and I'll change it accordingly so no others have to endure the same scenario. In my circumstances I hadn't killed most of the varn enemies so I guess I was just more fortunate.

Kill the Gromm
During the tutorial stages you will pick up a few kills towards the achievement when you acquire the Death Strike skill. Shortly in to the campaign you can return to the Alsorna area in the top right of the map and pick up a few kills on the Gromm characters around the Orc Camp teleport and down the various other paths.

Kill the Varn
As you progress the story and make your way from Bayan towards the Cheznaddar/Hatmandor area during Chapter 1 you will come across quite a few Varn camps. Many of them will be moving or sitting but if you kill your way through all the useless ones and sneak up behind the standing ones you can pick up quite a few more kills towards the achievement.

By the time I reached the large city area I was on 18 kills (Viewable in the Reputation Log in your inventory) and couldn't see any other enemies to kill. I wanted this achievement under my belt as soon as possible as it could be missed depending on how things go.

I recommend saving your game before attempting the following so that you can re-load and be absolutely certain that all citizens remain in the game in case they are quest related.

Kill the Drunks
In the North-West area of Cheznaddar is a gallows/hanging area. During the daylight hours various people who have had too much to drink will be relieving themselves around the fences behind the trees. If you move up behind them and move the camera around behind you to look for guards/other citizens and when the coast is clear press and hold LT and then you should see the option to Assassinate with 'A' button come up. If timed correctly you can get away without anyone even raising an eyebrow.

You can find a few more drunks down the side of the Tavern area in the centre of town and I have seen others down the side streets too.

I strongly recommend clearing the first two areas mentioned before attempting this as I'm pretty sure there won't be enough drunks to do the achievement from scratch and could result in fights with guards. As mentioned before I would advise reloading your save to be sure all citzens are alive and well in case they become quest related.

As others have said, the kills can be glitchy, enemies need to be standing and on the same level, not on too much of a hill etc.

Hope these tips are of some use to others.

To open, "Death Strike" is the assassination that can be executed while you're in sneak mode (L2), and approaching an unaware enemy from behind, pressing X when prompt to execute it. (By unaware, they usually have to be standing still with their arm's crossed, prime examples include Groms you encounter on Alsorna, and Varns found throughout Erimos (The Savannah)

You will need a dagger to execute the attack, they can be easily found or looted from enemies.

This trophy can be tricky since there is a limited amount of enemies that are properly set up for the attack, so it's recommended that you carry a dagger with you at all times, just to be ready for when the opportunity arises. (Also to note, if you spook some enemies into attacking you, you can run away until they're out of sight, and they should return to their original position)

You'll discover many Varn camps throughout the savannah which are prime spots to rack up kills for this, most contain a guard or two that is standing around the surrounding area, as well as a few groms while wandering around Alsorna.

A Death Strike occurs when you kill an enemy from behind without alerting it. When an enemy is standing still, hold down to sneak up behind the enemy. When you get close, a prompt on-screen will appear with the button. Press when that prompt appears and you will assassinate the enemy with one stab. You will learn of this during the tutorial.

You must have a dagger equipped to perform a Death Strike. Keep this skill in mind throughout the campaign and you should have no problem reaching 20 kills. Varn camps are always great targets.

This stat can be followed by visiting your Reputation Book in your inventory, under the title "Assassination Kills".

Requires the Mortal Strike skill. We've had it from the very beginning. The very first thing we do after getting out of the tower is to shoot Thunder standing nearby with a dagger. We sneak up on him from behind before the circle with a picture of a dagger in blood lights up and press the blow and watch as Thunder gets a dagger thrust into his rib and he collapses like a sack of potatoes. There are many sentinel enemies in the game in the form of Wolfmen and other comrades. Some are standing guard, some are cast near a tree or a stone, so it won’t be too difficult to get this trophy.

For those who are especially talented - who managed to call all the wolves on the first island and did not make this trophy. There is an opportunity to conquer the inhabitants in the city on the same first island, but there are not many of them - I found only 5 people, on the second and third there will be no such opportunities , there’s no one to kill online either, and there was no such opportunity in the DLC - I’m already halfway through it. So try to get this one immediately or you will have to start the game a second time

Not before the circle with the dagger appears, but during!!! In the statistics it is listed as hidden murders!!! 20 times!

And it seems to me that if you kill all the enemies, not counting the animals, then you can probably miss this trophy.
