How to unlock the It's the Collector! achievement in Ugly Americans: Apocalypsegeddon - Definitive Guide

Here is a list of weapons and what levels you can find them on. In addition to those weapons, there are four that you receive for picking up the final four hidden case files. There are hidden case files stashed in environmental destructible objects on all levels(garbage cans, hotdog carts, potted trees, mailboxes, etc) with the exception of the boss fights in cases 4,8 and 11. They spawn randomly so you won't find a hidden case file every time you complete a level, don't get discouraged if you miss them on your first couple times through. You can tell which levels you have hidden case files collected for by highlighting the case on the case select screen and if there is a file folder icon in the bottom left corner of the case file then you have that level's hidden file.

You can also have another player drop the weapons they are using if you need it, you don't need to complete the level to save either, just picking up the weapon gives you credit for having it.

I saw your comment on the other solution. I'll try passing the four weapons to my friend, who is only starting the game fresh, and see whether the achievement unlocks when he picks up the rest of the weapons.

Hi, it works. My friend started with only the baseball. I passed him all the four hidden weapons right away in Level 1, and then we went through co-op for the entire game. The achievement unlocked for him when he picked up the rest.

Great guide. I don't know why you got a negative, very complete. Thanks

Is there a loadout screen or customization screen that I'm not seeing where you can pick what projectile and demon you want? Or how are you "collecting" them?

In multiplayer, only the person who actually picks up the case file gets credit for it. So we just focused on one person picking all of them up and then had them pass the weapons along!

Just to make things clear, the location of the hidden file is not random. It is just random if it's there or not. It'll always be in the same object though. We also found the case file while using the demon weapon so to counter some guides, you can be using special weapons and find them.

Some files are right at the start of levels, some mid way through. I don't know if videos exist out there showing people collecting files but it could help to locate them. You can die after picking them up and it still saves. Once they spawn they disappear quite quickly and you can miss them (hence how we know its in the same location every time.

Hope that helps as we spent quite a while replaying missions to try and find these things.

Altogether there are 30 projectiles that need to be collected. A projectile is what kind of ammo your B.S.U. gun (or wand for Leonard) shoots at enemies. They appear in random locations within each level, so I will be putting which ones are available in each level in a spoiler below. Also for clarity's sake, there are four projectiles that have to be collected from hidden case files located in each case file (case file 4, 8, and 11 don't have hidden case files). To change your projectile, visit the D.O.I. before starting a case file.

Case file 1: hammer, snow globe, baseball, and paint can
Case file 2: propane tank, boomerang, and crystal ball
Case file 3: dumbbell, golf ball, and model rocket
Case file 6: bowling ball, chicken, kerosene lamp, and knife
Case file 7: spell book, letter opener, demon teeth, and wrench
Case file 9: harpoon, desk lamp, hair spray, and mating bone
Case file 10: fire extinguisher, magic 8 ball, salt shaker, and gas can
Hidden case files: zombie arms, liquor bottle, demon head, and wedding cake

Credit goes to TimDogg420 for giving me a tip on the projectiles.
