Kill 20 enemies by shooting from the hip (without aiming with the L1 button)

22.5%

How to unlock the Run-and-Gunner achievement in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Definitive Guide

Instead of frustrating yourself by trying to shoot single enemies from cover, wait on this trophy until you get to Chapter 19 - Unwelcome Guests. As you begin the chapter, you are in a large room with gazillions of MP-40 machine guns lying around. Grab a bunch of them and get ready for a huge onslaught of ghouls...or zombies...or whatever the hell those things are.

Shoot them using only the R1 button. Do not use L1 to aim. In fact, this is actually the easiest way to kill them. When the creatures stop coming, don't leave the room. Just Restart Checkpoint, and have at it again until you get to 20 and unlock your trophy.

NOTE: Save your game after getting the medal, or it may not save your medal points.

Hey, thanks for that tip about saving the game. I was wondering why I wasn't keeping the medal points.

No problem. I had the same thing happening to me, so glad I could save someone else the headache. Thanks for the comment! smile

My bad, I just now got to chapter 19... I appartenly did this in chapter 18. I was in the round room where they ambushed me and I was waiting for a certain someone to finally get me a rope...

P.S. Wow, so many enemies after that point... If you're playing through this game the first time, you won't even have to restart that checkpoint.

I just got it in the same room, great tip. I used the shotgun though, goes for quicker kills. I can't upvote a guide with such a big spoiler though, I would have been pretty pissed if I had been cruising the trophy guides before getting to the point of this type of enemy. I'd replace "onslaught [...] are" with "ambush", that way the guide is spoiler free.

For this trophy you are going have to kill 20 enemies by shooting blind. By blind I mean shooting without aiming so you must only press for it to count towards this trophy. You can shoot blind either just running on foot, behind cover or by hanging of a ledge. This trophy will come naturally because when you encounter the monsters, the best way to deal with them is to shoot from the hip. Here are some key factors which you may want to take into account when going for this trophy:

  • Killing enemies blind is cumulative, they carry over to your next playthrough. Furthermore, if you were to die then the kill will still count.
  • When killing on foot you can use any weapon which you like, Preferably a shotgun as its bullets will spread out and is therefore more effective as opposed to using a handgun.
  • When shooting blind you do not know precisely where you are aiming but as a reference it is exactly in the middle of your screen, make sure your opponent is in the middle for in order to successfully hit him with a bullet.
