How to unlock the Stealth Attacker achievement in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - Definitive Guide

A stealth attack occurs when you sneak up on an enemy with his back turned and execute a melee attack with the "square" button, which will cause an instant one-hit kill.

If you haven't gotten this trophy by the end of the game, then use Chapter Select and start up Chapter 5. Climb the building and get inside. Go back out the window, climb around the building and go back inside again. Just inside the next door is a guy who will always have his back to you. Simply run into the room and execute him from behind, then either let the rest of the guys kill you, or Restart Checkpoint. Either one works.

Rinse and repeat until you get to the 20 stealth kills.

NOTE: Save your game after getting the medal, or it may not save your medal points.

This trophy will pop after successfully performing your 20th 'Stealth Kill'. To kill someone stealthily you must walk/run behind an enemy and press and Drake will then perform a stealth attack, which will result in a fatal outcome. Here are two factors to consider when attempting a stealth kill:

1. Stealth Kills are cumulative, they carry over to your next playthrough. Furthermore, if you execute a Stealth Kill and then die straight afterwards. It will still count.

2. You can only perform a Stealth Kill providing the enemy has not seen you, if he does spot you then it is game over. Furthermore running will not alert the enemies, the only thing that does is if you are in their line of sight.

20 Melee Kills Guide
On your 2nd full playthrough, Crushing Mode, go for this this trophy midway through Chapter 4. It is just after the part where you find your plane wreck. You have two enemies who will have their backs turned. Wait for a couple of seconds on the bank, then run and melee kill the 2 pirates. Once you have done this, Restart the Checkpoint and it will take you back to the bank. Now wait for 2 seconds then kill the 2 pirates again, repeat this process until the trophy pops.
