Virtua Fighter 2

After spending an hr of tiring my fingers i tried my own method. Obviously set the arcade mode to:

Difficulty easy
Round count 2
Time limit 15
health smallest

Now the character i picked was Lau. This process reminded me of Umk3 noob saibot spamming the hell out of him and thats exactly what i did to the stage 5 fighter. All you need to use is the left joy stick and the punch button. Now hold the left stick to the right while you spam the punch button at the same time. Since the stage 5 fighter has a lower crouched stance i would maybe hold the left stick a little lower to the right side while i spammed the punch button. It takes practice but its the easiest method.

Easiest method I found was using Shun Di.

While mainly using RB for the first four opponents, UP+B worked the best against Lion.
He ran into my attack nearly every time and I beat him almost straightaway.

Here is an alternative approach for Stage 5 using Shun Di, provided by MathGuy42:
"I used RS diagonally down and right, then spammed B. I can see that UP+B would be more effective with the right timing, but I couldn't get it consistently."

This one is a little tougher than the other complete stage # achievements, even on easy. I had some difficulty getting past Pai on Stage 4 because of her countering. Here are some tips that helped me get past Pai and the other fighters.
-Use a character you are comfortable with. You can't choose another fighter when you lose / get to the Continue screen. Akira and Lau are good picks if your new to the game.
-However you can lose and continue to try that stage again. So keep trying!
-Guard (the X button). But don't guard too long or the AI will throw/grapple you!
-Rising kick (press Forward + B when you lying on the ground to kick as you get up). This one helped me alot.
-Heads-up attack (press Up + A to attack them when they are downed). This was super helpful against Pai.
-For settings I used 2 Rounds and 15 Seconds. After losing quite a bit to Pai, I dropped the difficulty to Easy. She won't counter as much.
-Doesn't matter how you win, just win the Stage to continue to the next. (Time Out, Ring out, Victory).

When you get to stage 5, win the stage. The Achievement will unlock on the win / grade screen.

Hello there, fellow achievement hunter.
I am late to the party, but the recent VF2 sale had me raging at the difficulty spike of this game. I wasn't able to follow the guides provided, and to be honest, this barely qualifies as a guide, however (Please excuse its only round 3/3 of 5 I'm new to video captures still);


To beat Pai on stage 4 and Lion on stage 5, I used Lion. Easy mode, 15 seconds, 2 rounds, Smallest health so its easiest to minute monitor, either version was fine I didn't notice a difficulty change. My major strategies, when not needing to improvise, was either;
A. Forward down(or back down)+B for a sweep kick that moved me forward. The kick knocks the opponent down if you get it right, buying you a moment or two of safety which is invaluable when you are trying to survive 15 seconds.
B. Forward plus A for a punch followed by B for a mid kick. Back plus punching caught advancing enemies off guard but left me open to kicks.
C. Defend defend defend.
When knocked down press back and B for a face kick, otherwise my sole strategy was to knock my opponent down. Many guides suggest either Pai, Lau or Lion for the "spammed punches" that "Should" stun lock, but I found that S4 Pai would just block or kick me down, and Lion himself usually stands mid range, putting him OUT of the range of machine gun punching.

I hope maybe this helps somebody. Maybe you raged like I did, and if so, I feel your pain brother.
