How to unlock the Sudden Death achievement in Virtua Fighter 2 - Definitive Guide

Easiest achieved in offline versus.

Make sure you have two controllers activated, then in the settings set the round count to 2 and the time limit to 15. Select your characters, then just let the time run down without doing anything so both rounds end in a draw.

After the two rounds, you'll enter sudden death and the achievement will unlock.

Genius. +1. The douche that thumbed this guy down should go take a gat and blow their noodles out.

Might want to clarify that you need to let the time run out to earn a draw, hence sudden death.

Ok. Thought it was clear enough, but I'll expand that bit. Cheers.

If you don't have a second controller, like me, use the same settings as mentioned above in Arcade but use Kage-maru to jump over Lau in the first stage. Of course don't jump straight, keep jumping over him back and forth without getting yourself knocked out of the ring. After trial and error I managed to do it this way. Happy hunting.

Sudden death-easy trophy,
Easier with 2 players, set the timer to 15 seconds,Select offline versus mode. To make this quicker, set to the lowest amount of rounds and time. Then let both rounds end in a draw (so just let both controllers sit). After the 2nd drwa, you'll enter sudden death and the chieve will pop.

For the sole trophy in the game, you must enter Sudden Death. This is a feature which initiates if the final round of a match ends in a draw. This is possible in two ways, the former being much easier:

Offline Versus:
This option is the best choice if you have two controllers. Switch both on and enter Offline Versus Mode. Set the round count to 2, and have both characters win once, so that the score is 1-1 and the final round begins. At this point, let the timer run out. If done correctly, Sudden Death will begin and the ring will shrink down to a miniature size. The idea here is to decide the winner by a Ring Out. Kick or punch the opponent off the ring and the trophy shall unlock.

Arcade Mode:
If you do not have two controllers, this trophy will be marginally more difficult. You’ll have to do all that is described under the Offline Versus option, except against the computer A.I. I recommend doing this in the first stage and setting the Time Limit to 15 seconds, make sure the round count is set to 2 also. Defeat the opponent in the first round and let the A.I defeat you in the next. Finally, try to avoid the opponent for fifteen seconds in the final round. This can be tricky as you can’t stall time by hitting them, as balancing out the damage for the Draw requirements will be difficult thereafter. You cannot fall out of the ring, either. Upon managing all the above, quickly push the opponent out of the ring to finish up the trophy.

Easier to do with two pads. We set the round time to 15 seconds, do nothing for the first two rounds, in the third round sudden death turns on, and we win with one blow.
