How to unlock the Coronation achievement in Virtua Tennis 2009 - Definitive Guide

This achievement is the coronation you get it for wining the king of players tournament.This was glitched when the game was first released but they have since released a patch to fix it but from what i have heard it dose not unlock for everyone.If it helps i was in my 22nd season ranked num 1 i rested until the king of players tournament i was rank 8 by then played and won the tourny and it unlocked.

i dont think its glitched any more, i won the tournament my first try and unlocked it.

i only started playing after the patch and no glitching at all.

I have just unlocked this with no problem either, it may be worth noting that after beating the first 3 players you have to beat Duke to unlock

The 1st time I played the tournament I won the tournament matches then lost to Duke (popped cheev for unlocking duke), I then went through another season mainly doing mini-games and playing in slams + grass and clay tournaments to keep my ranking up and build up to the 100 grass + clay wins, At the King of Players I again won through the Tournament, this time losing to King in the extra match and the Cheev popped (+ unlock King Cheev), so it looks like it's highly variable on what conditions this will pop under.

I just did it again today and it didn't unlock went undefeated and beat King at the end of King of Players and got nothing so I'm fairly upset with Sega that this still hasn't been fixed.

I've done it with 3 different players now and it just won't unlock and I beat Duke everytime too.

Just to avoid confusion. If you have all ready beat king of players 2 times BEFORE the patch then you're fucked. You have to wipe your vt2009 data or create new save of different device and go through the whole shitty career again to unlock it.

If you were lucky enough just to beat it that one time then it will unlock after the patch. I beat it like 10 times after the patch and it didn't unlock because I had already beat it 3 times before it was released.

This is the tournament happens when you are ranked 1st. Win it to earn the trophy. The final opponent is King and he is a challenge to beat.

Apparently this achievement is glitched and will not unlock for anybody.
