How to unlock the Poker Face achievement in Virtua Tennis 4 - Definitive Guide

A royal straight flush is 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace, all of the same suit. A joker can fill in for any of these. The cards can be in any order.

There are two ways to get this achievement. The first is to play Royal Poker in Party Mode. Kings and Aces won't show up until level 4, so you'll have to play through the first few levels before getting a shot at it.

The second is to play World Tour mode, level Royal Poker up to 4, and play on that level, regardless of any higher levels. This has a few bonuses. First of all, if you don't get a royal straight flush, quit to dashboard when the game finishes. When you restart, the save will be before you have started the game, so you'll have another chance to try again. Only let the game finish if you've gotten a royal straight flush.

Secondly, at level 4, there are only two suits in play - diamonds and clubs. Makes it a bit less frustrating!

Third, when you dashboard, the game reverts to a default level 4 mode. The default level will be different for each person, but the game will play exactly the same. For instance, if the middle card flipped reveals a 10 of Clubs, it will always reveal a 10 of Clubs. Use this to experiment with patterns and find one that gets you a royal flush.

As a side note, if you find you get jokers in your patterns, try to make these the last card to flip over! These have the tendency to complete flushes and straights before you're done.

I get a completely different set up you do when I dashboard, but it is the same every time. Damn this one is a real bitch to try and get...

It is, I won't lie, but having that at least means you can experiment with the pattern and see if you can find one that works. Still, thanks for the heads up!

I just used the party mode, I had 3 from world tour play already and it took me about 20-30 mins to get the rest. It doesn't take that long to get through first 3 levels, I got two in quite a few games when I played until max level.

Can you confirm what a royal flush is? I'm not a big poker player, is it Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10? Also, does it have to be in any particular order or you just need to get all 5 cards? Thanks for the help and sorry in advance if its a dumb question.

You should also note that a Joker counts towards the Royal Straight Flush. :)

Not a bad idea! I'll add that and a warning about jokers - they have a tendency to complete lesser hands if it's not the last card.

Indeed. I used the Party Mode method, because I haven't started my campaign yet. Thanks for the solution!

Only a royal flush (10-J-Q-K-A, same suit) counts, and as the achievement states, you need ten.

Had 9/10 and entered lv. 5 poker mini-game in World Tour. I carefully prepared the cards, then finally got a royal straight flush and the achievement. After that I just let the game run and didn't pay much attention where to hit but to my surprise I was lucky and got another royal straight flush seconds before game ended, so 11/10 for me lol dancelaugh.

Get 10 royal straight flushes in Royal Poker.
This mini-game can be played in the World Tour or Party mode. Much easier than it seems, it's just a bit more time consuming than the other mini-games as you need to be on level 4 to even get the right cards to appear.
You don't need to get the 10 Royal Flushes on the same game session as it accumulative. For people who do not know what a Royal Flush is; it is a Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten of the same suit.
If they are not the same suit then it is classed as a straight, so will not count.

Tips can be found HERE.

Go to Party mode and select Royal Poker. We try to hit the flashing cards (usually the side ones).
