War of the Monsters

Story related, cannot be missed. Cerebulon is the final boss of Adventure mode, fought in the eleventh stage of the game, Cerebulon: Destroyer of Worlds. Cerebulon is fought right away, you do not need to defeat any minions first like in the previous two boss battles.

The Cerebulon battle is fought in three phases. In the first phase, it is in its armor and has a shield around its weakpoint. There are six pillars scattered throughout the battlefield, as well as cars that can be picked up. Pick up a car quickly and lock on to Cerebulon. It will use an unavoidable and unblockable laser beam attack against you, and the only way to minimize damage is to hide behind one of the pillars. Once Cerebulon finishes its laser attack, its shield will become deactivated. This is your opportunity to throw a car at it, and shoot it repeatedly with projectiles. After some time, its shield will regenerate, and you will need to repeat the process. After causing enough damage, Cerebulon's bulky armor will come off and the next phase will begin.

In the second phase of the battle, you must pick up the bulky remains of Cerebulon's armor and throw them at it in order to cause some harm. In the meantime, Cerebulon will attempt to jump on you and use an unavoidable laser beam attack on you. If you are quick with grabbing and throwing the armor remains, you should be able to clear this phase quickly and with as little damage as possible.

The final phase of the battle begins when the rest of Cerebulon's armor is removed. This phase is probably the easiest because all of Cerebulon's attacks can be blocked. After Cerebulon finishes a combo, it becomes open to a counterattack. This phase of the battle consists of blocking its combos, and retaliating until Cerebulon goes down. Once Cerebulon is defeated, you will have completed Adventure mode and will obtain this trophy.
