Once you reach the end of the game, you can just delay the last mission and keep playing defense and target missions endlessly. Your score will increase with each successful mission, so just play until you reach 30,000.

Your campaign score is determined by how you perform on missions and is shown on the top-middle part of your map screen. 30,000 points can be earned by the end of the campaign on Recruit difficulty, so it won't be much a problem. You can increase the amount of points you get by frequently getting five stars in missions.
