Where the Wild Things Are

There are two occasions in the game where you get to control Carol while Max rides atop his head... the basic controls are jump, slide and smash though bush all the while dodging trees

If your are replaying the levels to do this select the chapter 'Road to Nowhere' (second chapter) at the end of this stage you get your first chance to ride Carol, so you are given prompts of upcoming buttons to push for the first part of the level. If you do crash or miss the right button bring up the menu and choose "restart the last level" which will take you to the beginning of race course (not the checkpoint, that won't work) this achievement will unlock after the cut scene at the end of the level.

the only tips that i can impart are stay to either the left or right side of the course as this will slow down any corners you have to take... this would be only of the only skill based achievements in this game. So you may rage after your first few tries but take a deep breath and try again.

There are two places you can do this in the game. I recommend the first time though. During the chapter "Road to Nowhere" (second level) you will come to a cutscene and and a loading screen. You will then be riding on the back of Carol.

You will now need to avoid crashing head on into any obstacles. If you are going for the fallen stars, I recommend gathering them all and after the cutscene choose "Restart" then "Restart Level." It won't restart the entire level just right where you start racing on Carol.

Now focus on avoiding obstacles, jumping (A), sliding (B) and crashing through Brambles (X) as needed. If you hit anything you will need to choose restart level and try again. There will be checkpoints in three locations, so you can use that to gauge how much you have left. The first section is avoiding stationary objects, the second has trees falling in front of you so you will have to make quick decisions. The third section is a mixture of the both as well as strafing some boulders.

It might take a couple tries, but once you get the lay of the level you will get it with some practice. Good luck!
