During the first mission: "Arrival" you are forced to swing across 3 branches to progress in the level. Do so, and the achievement will unlock.
Just jump (using A) towards the branch and the character will automatically grab on, press A again while swinging to jump towards the next branch and so on, until you land and gain the achievement.
You cannot let the character swing back and forth, or else will not count as a "power-swing". You have to continue to press "A" before he begins to swing back.

UPDATE - ok can you please add to the solution that you need to press A on the first swing, not when you swing back at forth to build momentum. I finally got this at the end of the game when you are forced to "power-swing". You need to press A really quickly after you grab the next branch.

So you have to powerswing on the 1st branch or it won't let you on any other branch? I'm having a hard time getting the timing of this down as well :-/

This will come in the very first level as there is a spot where you have to swing across a gap with 3 tree limbs in order to advance. (I actually got it to pop right before that by swinging across one branch, landing and then immediately jumping up to two more branches, so might get it even earlier).
