How to unlock the Hidden Horticulture achievement in Wild Arms 3 - Definitive Guide

This can be done as early as getting your horse in Claiborne, but I'd recommend waiting a while longer so you're strong enough (I did it at level 25).

After getting your horse go back to the railway station near Jolly Roger. Nearby you should see a crevice and on the other a side a field of bushes. You need to get a run up and jump over the crevice on your horse. Now go up the winding path and scan at the end of that area to find a very small village with a single NPC.

Here she'll give you a side quest. Now go back to where you jumped the crevice and scan around that area. You should discover a new dungeon. Make sure to save before entering.

The dungeon is linear just follow the path. The regular enemies shouldn't pose much issue, yet. Once you reach a single treasure chest, open it. You'll now fight a boss. He doesn't do anything special, just beat him down and heal when required. Now you'll have a cursed ring that reduces all your HP to 1 and you can no longer heal.

You now have to survive navigating out of the dungeon. Again it's pretty linear with a few box/switch puzzles. The light guardian comes in handy here, especially on a character with high MTC as the summon ability will wipe out all enemies (put it on Virginia). Once you find the exit return to the NPC at the small village you got the quest from.

You can now plant berries, among other things. Use up one of your heal berries to plant in the soil and the trophy will pop. Also this is a great way to get tonnes of berries so don't worry about using them up to plant them!

The first step in obtaining this trophy is unlocking the Secret Garden. This can be attempted as early as the first visit to Clairborne, but it is advised not to tackle it until your party is at least at level 20 and your Migrant Level and ECN Meter are high. From Clairborne, use a Call Whistle and use your horse to jump over the rift to the north. Ride past the forest, and at the end of the path, search and you will discover the Secret Garden. The coordinates are X: 17695, Y: 8239. Inside, talk to the girl, who will introduce herself as Florina, and she will ask you to destroy the nearby evil presence. You will have to complete the Decaying Labyrinth dungeon before being able to garden.

Exit the Secret Garden, head all the way west, and search at the coordinates X: 15400, Y: 9705. Enter the dungeon. The Decaying Labyrinth is a rather simple dungeon. Try not to avoid any encounters here in order to save up as much of your ECN Meter as possible. You will eventually reach a chest. Be sure to save using a Gimel Coin before examining it. Once you examine it, you are thrust into battle with the Ring Keeper.

The Ring Keeper can be a difficult battle if you attempt it at a low level. After level 20, it becomes easier. The Ring Keeper uses dark elemental skills, so the battle becomes easier the more Dark Ward personal skills your characters have. The Ring Keeper is weak against light, so if you have the Flash Hit medium, use Spectre on it to inflict a lot of damage. Otherwise, use physical attacks, and Gatling whenever your FP is high enough, and heal using Virginia’s Mystic or Gallows’ Extension when needed, and it will go down quickly enough.

Once the Ring Keeper is defeated, choose "no" and be sure to save your game. The dungeon becomes very annoying once you select yes. You will obtain the Cursed Ring and all your characters’ HP will be reduced to 1, your VIT will be reduced to 0, and you will be unable to heal or save your game. You must exit the dungeon by avoiding every battle possible, or suffer the consequences. On the way out, you will be required to move some blocks around and press some switches, so be sure to be efficient and fast in order to keep your ECN Meter from running out. When you reach the end of the dungeon, the ring’s curse will be broken, and you can exit.

Return to the Secret Garden, and Florina will finally allow you to start gardening. In order to garden, you will need to first select “Sow”. Select an item, and Florina will create a seed for it, so long as you have at least one of them in your inventory. You are able to create seeds for Heal Berries, Potion Berries, Mega Berries, Revive Fruits, Holy Roots, Tiny Flowers, Mini Carrots and Full Carrots. Then, select “Sow” again and select the same item again, provided you have another one in your inventory, and you will finally obtain this trophy.

To actually harvest items, you need to first plant seeds in any of the eight flower beds. Leave, and once enough time has passed, return to the Secret Garden and select “Harvest”. You will obtain all the items that have successfully grown.
