How to unlock the Intro to the Elements achievement in Wild Arms 3 - Definitive Guide

This is an automatic story trophy.

After the prologue, you'll be tasked in fighting four relatively easy bosses at the Fallen Sanctuary. Your abilities are extremely limited at this point so just focus on attacking them normally and healing when needed. Don't forget Virginia has the "mystic" ability that can heal your entire party with a heal berry, it'll come in handy with the all-targets attacks from the bosses. Also you can save in between the bosses with a gimel coin.

Shortly after the events on the train, you will end up in the Baskar Colony and have to venture to the Fallen Sanctuary to obtain four mediums. When you reach the Fallen Sanctuary, climb the first set of stairs to the top. You will see four monoliths. You must use the Ark Scepter on them in order to fight and defeat a Guardian to get its medium. The northern monolith is Schturdark, the water Guardian. The western monolith is Fengalon, the wind Guardian. The southern monolith is Moor Gault, the fire Guardian. Finally, the eastern monolith is Grudiev, the earth Guardian. Every Guardian battle begins with it using an attack that hits every character, and then it uses Arcana that corresponds to its element, or its opening move once again. The Guardians have a counter attack, but more often than not your characters will always evade it.

Begin with Schturdark in the north. It should go down easily with physical attacks, and Virginia should be placed on healing duties. When it is defeated, you will obtain the Aqua Wisp medium. Equip it on Gallows, who will now be able to use water and ice Arcana, as well as Heal Arcana.

With Schturdark defeated, Fengalon to the west should be the next target. Just like with Schturdark, Virginia should be placed on healing duties and Clive and Jet should use physical attacks, but Gallows is now able to use Pressure, which is what Fengalon is weak against. After a few turns, Fengalon should go down and you will obtain the Gale Claw medium. Equip it on Jet.

Grudiev to the east is the next target. It is weak against Wind, so have Jet use Vortex against it. Clive should use physical attacks, Virginia should heal when needed, and Gallows can either physically attack or use Arcana. Like the other Guardians, it will go down quickly, especially if you exploit its weakness. After defeating Grudiev, you will obtain the Earth Roar medium. Equip it on Virginia.

The final Guardian to face is Moor Gault, to the south. Moor is weak to ice, so have Gallows constantly use Refrigerate against it. Clive and Jet should use physical attacks and Virginia should heal when necessary. When it finally goes down, you will obtain the Fiery Rage medium. Equip it on Clive.

Once all four Guardians are defeated and you’ve obtained the first four mediums, you will obtain this trophy.
