How to unlock the Journeyman Gunslinger achievement in Wild Arms 3 - Definitive Guide

The Journeyman Division at Gunner’s Heaven opens once the Novice Division is completed. You must be at or above level 50 to enter. It costs 5,000 gella to enter, and just like the Novice Division, there are five waves of enemies. However, in the Journeyman Division, they must all be defeated within 20 rounds. Before entering, be sure that all or as many of your characters possible have the Fallen Ward personal skill equipped.

  • First wave: The first wave of enemies is four Mercurius enemies. This is an annoying battle and can potentially drag on. The best way to dispose of them quickly is through the use of Guardian summoning. There are many ways to go about this. First, organize the battle order as Virginia acting first, then Jet, then Gallows, and finally Clive. Have Virginia start by using a Full Carrot on the party with Mystic. You can now either have Jet cast Replay on Gallows, Gallows summons a Guardian, Clive uses another Full Carrot on Gallows, and Gallows re-summons the Guardian, killing all the Mercurius. You can also have Gallows use Extension for the Weakness Arcana to give them all a weakness, and then use the corresponding Guardian the next turn. Or simply have every character summon their strongest Guardian to take them all down. Regardless of which strategy you use, don’t waste too much time on this wave.
  • Second wave: The second wave of enemies is three Gasher Skeleton enemies. Simply have a character cast Requiem on one of the Gasher Skeletons, and also cast Replay on the character who uses Requiem. On the second turn, cast Requiem on the final Gasher Skeleton, and the battle will be over.
  • Third wave: The third wave of enemies is a Bamulvris. It is weak to both fire and ice. Have Gallows equipped with the Lust Jaw medium and have the Weakness personal skill equipped to its maximum. With Gallows casting Refrigerate, Jet casting Replay on Gallows, and Clive physically attacking, Bamulvris should go down within two turns.
  • Fourth wave: The fourth wave of enemies consists of the Audhulma enemy and the Sleipnir enemy. Audhulma is weak against ice and wind, and Sleipnir is weak against fire. Sleipnir is dangerous because its counter attack causes instant death, so be sure to have Fallen Ward equipped on as many characters as possible. With the Weakness personal skill equipped, have Gallows cast Refrigerate on Audhulma, and Jet cast Replay on Gallows. Clive should physically attack. When Audhulma is defeated, focus on Sleipnir. This battle should not take too long.
  • Fifth wave: The fifth wave of enemies consists of six Egregori enemies. You do not want to waste time on this battle. Make sure your characters have high FP and have them all summon their most powerful Guardians in order to make short work of this battle.

Once you’ve completed the Journeyman Division within 20 turns, you will obtain this trophy.
