This will be the boss in the dungeon after Claiborne. He's a lot tougher than before. One particular thing to note is to NEVER use magic attacks because he simply counters with healing himself. He also counters all physical attacks, so avoid using your defensively weak characters like Virginia, only use her for support buffs and healing. Focus on attacking physically with Clive, Jet or Gallows to whittle his health down, gatling will come in handy here. Just be careful he doesn't put anyone at critical health because he has a nasty attack that hits everyone in the party and could easily wipe everyone out.

This trophy is story-related. It cannot be missed.
The battle against Janus at Ka Dingel is the final battle of the first chapter of the game. He fights alone this time, but he is much more powerful than ever before. Try to be around level 13 – 15 for this fight, and come with enough healing items. Janus is able to use his Multiblast attack to hit your whole party, and also counters physical attacks as well. On top of this, he has a new attack - Rising Nova - that is capable of dealing upwards of 200 damage to a single target. You do not want to have your whole party attacking all at once for fear of him obliterating them all with counter attacks.
Have Virginia and Gallows act as support in this battle and cast support Arcana and be on healing duties. Jet and Clive should use physical attacks, but hold off if their HP ever gets close to 200 and heal them. As Janus’ HP dwindles, he’ll begin to heal himself using Heal Berries. This is your opportunity to take him out quickly using Gatling, otherwise the battle may drag on.
When you defeat Janus, the first chapter of the game will end and you will obtain this trophy.
