If you play heavies or mediums you will be in the front lines and become priority targets for the enemy team, this will greatly reduce your chance of survival.
Do not go camp and hide in corners
with these tanks heavies or mediums , this will not sit well with your team at all, so if you are not experienced at being a brawler or a flanker, play as a sniper or become the scourge 
of the skies.
Your best chance of survival is not be seen by playing TANK DESTROYERS or ARTILLERY sit in the back lines and support your team to victory.
This achievement can be done over time and you can switch between tank classis.
I managed to unlock the achievement by switching between TDs and artillery mostly with TDs the new Grill 15 and the infamous Death Star.
Good luck tankers.

Glad to hear you managed to pop it.
I'm sure a player not in a rush can get this by playing normally with any type of vehicle.
But if they want a slight edge artillery or TDs are the way to go.
