Worms: Ultimate Mayhem

Just found out that the achievement probably isn't glichted. The challenge times in the Xbox version are wrong because it says 10 minutes for every challenge there.

These are the correct set times:

SNIPER RIFLE CHALLENGE 2
TIME TO BEAT: 3 Minutes

JET PACK CHALLENGE 2
TIME TO BEAT: 5 Minutes, 30 Seconds

SUPER SHEEP CHALLENGE 2
TIME TO BEAT: 4 Minutes 30 Seconds

SHOTGUN CHALLENGE 2
TIME TO BEAT: 2 Minutes

ACCURACY CHALLENGE 2
TIME TO BEAT: 5 Minutes, 30 Seconds

NAVIGATION CHALLENGE 2
TIME TO BEAT: 1 Minute, 20 Seconds

CRATE COLLECT CHALLENGE 2
TIME TO BEAT: 5 Minutes, 30 Seconds

DEATHMATCH CHALLENGE 11
TIME TO BEAT: 10 Minutes


The problem is that it is impossible to beat the 3 minute sniper rifle challenge #2 because the sniper rifle is affected by a glitch in the Xbox version that forces a reload after each shot (I've seen this video of the PC version -> http://youtu.be/lSHS5tXFZ_E?t=1m48s and there is no reloading) which wastes too much time.
1st on the Xbox Live leaderboards completed the challenge in 3:40. I haven't been able to shoot more than 30 targets in 3 minutes. If someone manages to beat this challenge in 3 minutes or less please let me know.

Really? If that's true then I've officially lost faith in Team17 :(

that's the exact same one that i get every week ,so i guess we shouldnt get our hopes up too high.

idk, i think our best shot is to get as ´many people as possible to bitch about it. that is the best way to get their attention.

though nobody will stick to it... best way to ACTUALLY get them to do something, would be to boycott team17 saying we wont buy their products if theyre not going to fix their faultiness due to the fact that we believe they will continue to be lax in the future and provide faulty stuff

we need all the help we can get. the more people are bitching on the forums, the more likely there will be a fix.

now, i know this is a long shot, but if all of us posted on there, maybe they'll start listening. they're acting like itd take a fortune to patch this, plus they wil not only be patching a dlc that a mere 200 people bought, but theyll be patching there reputation

That sucks! It unlocked fine for me on PS3. Though this is not a PS3 site, I would like to share this. Definately need a patch, Team 17 cannot leave Xbox players like that.

Oh and just to clarify Flosta, I dont know which achievements will be on the disc. Hopefully shorly after release we'll find out if the glitched achievement unlocks for people who buy the disc version. If the disc version solves the problem, Ill buy a copy, unlock my achievement and then post it to you so you can get yours. That way Team17 get that little bit less money, and I dont mind ppaying for postage if it means they sell one less game : )

Lol yeah we definately could start a disc sharing ring. If the ach is obtainable with the disc, I'll pay the disc's original purchaser half of whatever they spend on the disc, only fair since I haven't purchased the arcade title yet, and I too will forward it to the next person that needs it.

Disc sharing this piece of shit around the world would be awesome, we could get everyone who uses it to sign their gamertag on the front, then once everyone gets the achievement we post it pack to Team17 with a note attatched politely asking them to shove it back up the Dev's arse who wrote the code that caused the glitch.

so the worms collection went out today. anybody who has it please check whether this achievement is available on it so the rest of us can decide if they want to buy it or not.

i can confirm that the achievement doesnt pop for me on the worms collection. i play the challenges again with my second gt, dont buy the worms collection, they dont fix the achievement!

Perfect. What I wanted to hear. Guys go all to Team 17 forums and boycott immediately them. They MUST fix the achievement for you before they release Worms Revolution. I mean, that's not fair for you who spend money on broken stuff and hoping to have them fixed in a second release.
As I told you, I have the PS3 version but that doesn't mean they have to leave Xbox players with such a shoddy DLC who just add like 15 - 30 minutes of gameplay (I clocked my time, the challenges were ridicolous easy). Spam on their forums/inbox till they get their ass on gear and fix the achievement.

If you want I can help you to have the achievement fixed by join your cause. I don't mind helping, I'm kinda a mediator between the two consoles.

I did ALL the races breaking the record, but no achievement. Another hole in the water ...

yeah, that's what everyone's saying. i left one challenge in case they ever fix it. in ghost busters, there was a similar issue and then when they did fix it, everyone who had already done all the requirements still couldnt get the achievement. only the people that hadnt done them. thats why i left one challenge.

It's such a shame, because my brother and I love playing this online. It's a real laugh. But they never even issued a patch to bring the worms 3D maps into multiplayer like they were supposed to :(

Haha I just found out that they closed the forums altogether... there have been two games since this one there still is no patch out after 3 years this game will forever be lost in my card

Go pressure Team 17 a bit further. Now that Microsoft has seemingly dropped the cost to patch games, it's far more likely.

right I am pleased to announce that after pressuring Team 17 I did get a response and have given up. I filled in a complaint form regarding this game and said the achievement was impossible and received a response about Worms 2 and had I tried to patch the game, uninstall it etc. It's not going to get fixed now

What a shame Team17 never made any headway on Patching this Achievement. I got the Single-Player Pack the day it released, being the Worm fanatic I am, and expected the 3 Achievements to come pretty easily. When Clock Watching glitched on me, my first reaction was to hope it a was an error Team17 made by not activating the Achievos properly or something. After completing all the challenges 4-5 times each, getting better times on each attempt, still no progress towards my Achievo.

Over a year later and not the slightest bit of progress in getting this resolved. Way to drop the ball Team17...

We actually had a member of Team 17 on TA last year when a Battleground achievemtent was messed up, I messaged him detailing what was up with Clockwatching, directed him here and he said he would look into it. I have also had similar responses to the one HaxAras got and still nothing. Unless they are actually doing something this time the only hope would be if the game goes GWG .

That's the response most of us got. Which was years ago by now, so I wouldn't get my hopes up...

I contacted the support team and they said this "Thank you for reaching out to us and bringing this problem to our attention. The team is aware of the issue with the Clock Watching achievement, as it has been previously reported, but unfortunately I don't have any news for you at this time, as they're still working on a fix. I recommend you to keep checking our social channels for any updates and announcements." I guess they've been hard at work working on a fix since 2012.

The TA investigators know this one is inobtainable, so having it unlocked is a sure trip to Banville. All it takes is one report. There have been a couple before them, all banned now.

yeah, but like you said - people wouldnt stick to it. whoever doesnt care about achievements will just keep buying their stuff.
also, if u look at the leaderboards of this game, you will notice there are about 300 people who bought it, so they dont have much to lose. a patch wouldnt really pa off for them.

If you take a look on PS3trophies, there are people complaining that clock watching didnt unlock for them. It seems to have unlocked for most ppl, but its definitely not perfect.
Sidenote; it disgusts me how Team17 are now releasing a retail disc containing all 3 worms games. They DO NOT GIVE A FUCK about the glitched achievement, they're too busy milking their cow to spend time and money fixing the existing product. They are in effect re-releasing a product they know to be broken. They are money grabbing scum bags

The disc version (Worms Collection) will be released 17/08/2012. Its on both Shopto and Play. TBH Flosta Id buy it aswell if it was a guaranteed fix for the glitch but I very much doubt that anything will be different in the disc version, hence my previous post. What with this and the new worms game they are currently developing, the future does not look bright in terms of them working on a fix. The new game looks great and its really going to sadden me to miss out on playing it, but I will not buy it unless this game is fixed, and I urge everyone else to consider doing the same.
Another thing that REALLY pisses me off/makes me laugh, depending on my mood, is that when I type Team17 into google, and then click on forums link, Ultimate Mayhem is listed under the heading 'currently supported titles', what a fucking joke. The ammount dev/mod response on that forum to problems people post about is absolutely pathetic. Is a little honesty too much to ask for? is a little respect out of the question?

Hi, I am writing all the way from Italy (Sicily). I'm a big fan of the Worms series and of achievements for many years. It's been several years since the release of the xbox 360 Ultimate Mayhem Worms on the store and I was one of the first in buying it. He was subsequently deployed a DLC called ' Single-player Pack "containing time trials and achievements. Among these one to my (but for other) bad surprise you can't reach or "Clock Watchers" because due to a problem in the game itself and in the mechanical activities makes it impossible to achieve it and come back on time. This problem for a strange reason is not present on the PS3 version. Now I've always been fond of Worms and despite this hiccup I continued l purchased the successive titles of Worms, hoping that would fix the problem sooner or later but it's been a long then I would say ... I kindly ask you some time if you can fix the problem of the mechanics in the game or if you can unlock all on automatic achievement since it is not possible to obtain the result. Maybe give a chance to other freelance programmers can solve the problem by providing data and collaborating in their free time with them. Would you do with little effort a great favor to the whole community that has been following the case in addition to gain prestige and showing goodwill game programmers who work with the community to solve any problems with their products. I hope not to be ignored and to have news soon. Awaiting your next Worms;) output short. Thank you. I hope I have moved the mountain since recently some holy men have solved problems related to achievements outdoors after many years. For example recently MOH: Airborne World War II Victory Medal or AOT: 4 DAYS DLC. Hopefully good...

Yeah I saw, MP content is listed for tomorrow. It doesnt matter to me either way whether it has achievements cos until I get my last 20gs for the last dlc, Team 17 wont get a penny from me. Im still hoping someone finds a fix or it gets patched, it would certainly help restore my faith in the devs

Thanks for trying, but if you visit the team17 official forums you'll see that they said 'we are looking into it' midway through January, thats almost 3 months ago, 3 months and theyre still just looking into it... I dont want to completely write them off but I think a fix is unlikely, especially since the new worms game has been revealed. I will however happily eat those words along with my hat if Team17 pull their fingers out of their arses and actually fix the broken product they sold to us.
