How to unlock the Developmental Graduate achievement in WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2010 - Definitive Guide

When you load up the game you will find yourself in the WWE Training facility. Here you can practise all the moves in the game. While in this mode boxes will pop up with specific instructions and the idea is for you to do all of these that pop up. To see what moves you still requre and what you have done go to TRAINING FACILITY -> TRAINING CHECKLIST. Now the majority of moves you will perform normally but the trickier ones are the SIGNATURES and FINISHERS. Each of these will require certain wrestlers to pull off. I have included a list of which wrestlers can perform which moves

SIGNATURES
Front - Brian Kendrick
Back - John Morrison
Upper Body (Supine) - John Cena
Lower Body (Supine) - Chavo Guerrero
Side (Supine) - Chris Jericho
Upper Body (Prone) - SEE BELOW
Lower Body (Prone) - Maryse
Side (Prone) - SEE BELOW
Running - Brian Kendrick
Opponent Running - Umaga
Turnbuckle Front - Christian
Turnbuckle Back - Tommy Dreamer
Turnbuckle Seated - SEE BELOW
Diving vs Ground Opponent - Christian
Diving Vs Standing Opponent - SEE BELOW

FINISHERS
Front - Brian Kendrick
Back - Carlito
Upper Body (Supine) - Shawn Michaels
Lower Body (Supine) - Chris Jericho
Side (Supine) - Beth Phoenix
Upper Body (Prone) - R Truth
Lower Body (Prone) - John Cena
Side (Prone) - Big Show
Running - Carlito
Opponent Running - Shad
Turnbuckle Front - CM Punk
Turnbuckle Back - Brian Kendrick
Turnbuckle Seated - Umaga
Diving vs Ground Opponent - Chavo Guerrero
Diving Vs Standing Opponent - SEE BELOW

Now a few of the moves won't have any wrestlers required to perform them so you will need to go into CREATE A MOVESET and edit a current SUPERSTAR. Now choose a wrestler you don't use often and then assign the required SIGNATURE and FINISHERS to them. You can always reset these to default after.

Might want to add that if you're struggling to get any of the regular moves in the tutorial, you can have a second controller added in when the AI is set to "none" and you can control the second player as well to get him in position.

thanks for the extra tip there Codster2005. that'll help when trying to get the counter moves as you cant always be sure the AI will do the moves required for the counter

To get the ai to dive at you, I faced jeff hardy and positioned myself between him and the bottom left turnbuckle. Hugged the ropes and Jeff would spring board off. If walk into position and reverse. Took about rift minutes but sans second controller...

Ok, so I read on another site how to get the Springboard Dive. The opponent actually has to be outside the ring on the ground... Standing.. Used Mysterio vs. Batista, just lean into the ropes nearest your opponent and tap x.

I only have 2 left I can't even figure out

signature vs. running opp
finisher vs running opp

For the running part do they need to run at me and if thats so nothing pops up and if its the other way around still nothing pops up to do either signature or finisher.

For move thief ones you need to use Cody Rhodes, also for reversals, hit RT just as contact is made

Just got the Springboard dive attack one and got my achievo. I used the same idea as (Its Just Dave) said to do but figured out you have to be standing on the small outside part of the ring (like where a tag match opponent/friend would standing), and have your opponent standing on the outside of the ring on the ground.

For the Sig/Fin lists, I found it a lot faster to pick one superstar and keep changing his move set to two sigs and two finishers I needed. You can kind of get into a nice rhythm instead of constantly checking what superstar does what move you need it to.

For the Signature\Finisher vs. running opponent, the category in create mode is called Irish Whip Rebound. Instead of using a second controller to run at you, do an Irish whip and use the signature on the rebound.

For move thief (Sig and Fin) use Cody Rhodes vs JTG

I can't get any od the signatures or finishers to come up. I've made sure I'm using the right wrestler and I've made sure that the opponent is groggy, what am I doing wrong?

Guide and comments still super helpful so many years later. For the steal Finisher and Signature ones I couldn't find which wrestler had them so I assigned them to a random superstar and used it with them.

for the diving attack, have the 2nd controller (Batista) dive off the top rope, you can't do his diving lariat though, you need to use a direction and (X) for it to be a "diving" attack. I used Jeff Hardy (high technical skill so the reversal was easy). I tried a few times by just hitting X on the second controller and nothing, once I changed to Batista's alternate dive, it worked first try. Now I'm just stuck on the springboard attack.

Thanks,

one thing i had trouble with was doing the springboard dives and to do it you need to get a wrestler wih the springboard dives ability like Jeff Hardy.

Then throw your opponent out of the ring and wait until they stand up and lean on the ropes and press x and it should work.

Just as a little help, I used rey mysterio, had my opponent standing on the ground outside of the ring and I stood on the outside part of the ring and just leaned towards my opponent and pressed X. The checklist help info popped up while I was standing on the outside part of the ring and as soon as I did it, the checkmark checked it off. It was my last move for the achievement.

Taunt and Move thief could be done with cody rhodes. I had him and Big Show. You first can steal the taunt, front lock up will net you both sig and finisher thief. Just be sure to have the momentum option turned to each before you try it.

I had trouble getting the kick reversal so I picked Jeff Hardy and on the first try he did it. When I used Batista it never worked. Just a couple of tips to help on your way.

I had problems with the turnbuckle signatures and finishers. Every time I irish whipped someone into the corner they would bounce back and fall flat on the mat or fly out of the ring. Turns out the issue was the special ability "hammer throw" which is denoted by a hammer icon. Once I chose a wrestler without the "hammer throw" ability I got the turnbuckle signatures & finishers easily by 1st irish whipping them into the corner. Then they would stand up.

Additionally, you may find it easier to use a low rated wrestler that doesn't have many special abilities such as Brie Bella. This way those special abilities won't get in the way when you're going for signatures & finishers. I used Brie Bella vs Kelly Kelly for most of the signatures + finishers.

if you have problems getting AI to jump at you.

get a second player to join in with the second controller and have them jump at you

This trophy can be a pain primarily because no single character has all of the moves on the checklist. In fact, there are some moves that no characters have by default. The solution, of course, is to modify the move-set of characters as needed. Lucky for you, I've compiled a master guide for this trophy. Just go here: Training Checklist Mini-Guide. Follow it and you'll be in good shape.
