How to unlock the Famous monster eliminator achievement in X-Blades - Definitive Guide

I started to do the 'Entrance to the Castle' method during a lunch break to start some of the grinding and managed approximatly 900 kills in 20 minutes, (2,700 per hour and I think I am being generous), maybe I wasn't in the most effective place, but I found it quite difficult to get any sort of rythym going.

Then I remembered reading a solution on a PS3 site, so I thought I would give it a go.

Start a game on easy, run to the first rage crystal, kill all the monsters, then shoot all the flying monsters. Next the game will ask you to bind the earthquake spell, do so, but do not use it. I wedged myself to the side of one of the breakable vases to prevent walking forward then entered the unlimited everything cheat, (cn_up, cn_down, cn_left, cn_right, cn_down, cn_up, cn_down, cn_up), made sure my shooting was fully upgraded and on rapid fire (cn_up). Then faced the rage crystal taped down the cn_RT and walked away.

With this method I went from 1,789 to 10,000 kills in under 90 minutes, quicker to set up than other methods and you don't need to adjust anything unless your controller runs out of juice or one very lucky monster knocks you off target!

If you need to know your total kills so far just finish any level and the stats screen shows you the total kills you have.

Is there a way to know how many kills you have?

You have to finish a level and the stats screen tell you how many you have so far in total...I'll edit the solution to add this!

In case anyone else wonders in 2024 onwards, kills do carry across playthroughs in case you want to do a full playthrough.

This solution certainly helped get the last few thousand kills I needed quickly though, thank you.

The best way i found to do this was on the level called entrance to the castle. In this area you fight a lot of ghosts spawning out of 2 red orbs. Destroy one and then go to the other but stay back by the columns not to activate the smoke door blocking you into the section. Turn on rapid fire for your guns which is down on the d-pad and aim it at the orb. Just hold in the R trigger and you should be able to kill the ghost as they come out of the orb and just keep killing. I found that you get about 400 playing the hall of columns(and requires a lot more work) but i got about 900 in the same amount of time doing this.

I'm doing what Bill did but even better. On the right side orb (right side from where you enter this level) there is a spot by the back wall that faces the orb and runs up against a collumn. Position yourself in that little groove and then rubberband the trigger facing the orb to shoot the ghosts and also rubberband the left thumbstick to pull backwards. Now whenever a ghost hits you and pushes you forward the stick pulls you right back against the wall. Going for a good 20 mins so far and she hasn't moved a bit.

Also make sure you have level 3 health regen and buy both furious bullets upgrades.

I used Lightning Range with just about every upgrade you can buy/learn (not too sure if that played a factor). Anyway, for me personally, I was able to defeat monsters quicker than using my guns.

This worked beautifully. Took me a while to find the right spot but eventually I was able to find one where I could just rubberband the right trigger on the controller. I found using the single shot (down on the d-pad) worked better for me because it was a more powerful shot. You don't get every ghost but funny enough the ones that sneak by hit you just a little making your shot more powerful.

By the end of the game I had more than enough money to upgrade my health regeneration and buy the upgraded bullets so getting hit a few times didn't matter cause I regenerated before the next one hit me. They would sometimes push me forward so I would have to reset the positioning once in a while. Took less than a couple of hours to go from around 7,000 to 10,000.

Thanks for the idea.

Heres what I did from memory. I beat the game 1st. Then went replayed it. Went to the last bosses room then turned around and went back to the last stage with all the monsters. I killed the waves until the large monster with the shell on its back spawned. Hard to explain but you jump on his back and move around a little so the large monster starts doing circles while you stay 'floating' above him without needing to move. I put it on wideshot and with right stick faced down with a slight spin and held down the trigger to shoot. With this way I could get this achievement without having to even play the game, I set up my controller with rubber bands. Just check back every 30mins because the xbox pauses it for you then.

edit: to see how many monsters you've killed currently. Simply finish any level and at the stats screen it'll tell you the total. When I completed the game I had around 4500 total kills. So doing my above solution it took a few hours to get 10k kills. I would watch TV and while the xbox was in picture in picture so I can check when it goes idle.

My Xbox has had "unexpected error message" every time i have tried this method. I can see how it would work but it's not possible for me to do it.

First things first. The Kills count from all your playthroughs.
Okay to the farmmethod. After the level "Entrance to the Castle" will come a infinite spawn of small "Dinos" go up the stairs and wait there for them. Look the stairs a liitle bit down to kill them before they com up the stairs.....

By the end of your first play-through you should have around 5,000 monster kills. This trophy should be completed during the second play-through. If you don't have this trophy by the time you finish the Hall of Columns, then replay the Hall of Columns until you get the trophy. Otherwise you will have to start a new game to complete this trophy.

We select an easy difficulty level, a suit for regeneration, and at the beginning we reach the moment when you are asked to use Earthquake. Enter the code for all upgrades and press (you can even press to the left so that it shoots in all directions) and in this position you can leave it even overnight, until the trophy falls out.

And one more thing. The number of killed is added up from all the saves that were made by hand. I advise you to save in the slot before the final boss so that you already have about 5k killed before performing this method of grinding.

If you don't get this trophy by the time you get to the Hall of Columns, start replaying the level until you get this trophy. For each playthrough you will receive at least 400 killed. Those killed are summed up from all walkthroughs and you can see how many you have killed in total upon completion of any level.
