How to unlock the The Goon Squad achievement in X-Men: Destiny - Definitive Guide

The easiest, and fastest way to grind this achievement is actually by playing the first checkpoint of the final mission "Final Showdown". This spawns MRD troopers faster than any of the challenges, and also contains a purifier stalker at the end to help with that achievement also.

Once you've killed the stalker, jump through the portal and wait for it autosave. Then quit to the start menu, and repeat the checkpoint.

you should put this solution in the stalker section as well.

MRD Troops can be found on Mission Six "Priorities" - they come in an assortment of enemies from ones that melee with some elemental powers, levitate shooting pulse shots, and ones that look like an abomination (miniature form of the John Sublime boss).

If you want to grind these enemies there is a Challenge Area if you have good standing with the Brotherhood. During the sixth mission after rescuing Caliban and talking to Northstar, you'll come across Juggernaut and you'll have the option of accepting his Juggernaut Smash-Up mission. If your faction standing is more so on the X-men side you may have to do another playthrough on a new game+ siding with the Brotherhood if you have not already in order to play this challenge mission. Once you have cleared the mission, you can replay it anytime by going to the load menu and selecting your character with the challenges available, it should be Challenge Mission #14 on the bottom with Juggernaut's image on it.

Within this challenge, you are to smash-up the objects that blink in order to finish it, however there will be an infinite number of respawning MRD troops coming out to be fought. After five hundred of them, the achievement is yours.

Just another tip that's especially helpful if you also still need the one for Stalker Mechs... you can replay the first checkpoint of the final mission, wait til it saves (so as to log your numbers) then restart again. That first rooftop sends a bunch of MRD troopers after you, then a stalker, which allows you to work on both at once.

Near the end of Mission Seven, you're directed to head up some stairs to continue your part of the mission, but if you stay, you can keep killing the infinitely spawning MRD enemies until the achievement pops. I did my last 200 in about ten minutes.

MRD Troops are an anti-mutant group called the Mutant Response Division (or MRD for short). You'll first encounter MRD Troops near the end of Mission 6: Priorities and for the remainder of the game. They're two different types of MRD Troops; standard soldier troops with or without stolen mutant genes and transformed human sized Sublime mutants that are somewhat identical to the Sublime boss you fought in the U-Men secret lab facility. There are plenty of MRD troops for you to defeat during Mission 7: Mutant War and by the end of your first playthrough you'll be very close to getting your 500th defeat. To keep track of all your statistics simply press the button and then .

In order to farm defeats more quickly, simply replay Mission 7: Mutant War. This mission has well over 250+ MRD Troops for you to defeat. Another way to quickly farm defeats is by simply replaying Challenge Mission 15 to defeat 141 MDR Troops.

The most successful mission for this is No. 7. Here you can get... all 500. After the cutscene, when your teammates run in (depending on the side), when you clear the arena, they will show you the arena and open the passage. Don’t leave - the respawn is endless and you can quickly reach 500. If you chose the obsidian knuckles ability at the beginning, then there will be no problems with the tremor ability at all and it will take you 5-10 minutes.

Yes, you can get everything right in mission 7, but there is an easier way. If you completed the challenge with an anvil and received a medal for it, then just start this challenge and beat the enemies there are 160 of them, I’m sure that you may need a maximum of 2 restarts. What is the advantage of this method:

1. it’s not boring to go through the mission again or sit and wait for the respawn to start

2. since you have completed the game you have already leveled up your character and can handle 160 drm soldiers and with the help of a robot there are no problems at all

3. you can always download an event as much and as often as you like!
