How to unlock the Hot Potato achievement in X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Definitive Guide

In chapter 2, 'The Frozen Tundra', in the 'Team X' section [the jungle flashback] you will come to a point where after defeating a Leviathan monster [the lava golem] a fire machete warrior guy will attack. DONT FIGHT HIM. Continue through the gate and down the path to spawn in about 10 normal machete people. Then let Fire Machete guy attack you with his lunge to set you aflame and try to lunge as many normal machetes as possible to set them on fire. Rinse and repeat until all have been lit on fire and are dead. Finish the 'Team X' section and then restart the section once it has saved. Easy!

Nice. Takes a while to get there (but I got to kill a good few Jungle Mutants towards Samurai-as well as machete and machine gunners) and managed to get 8 people on fire each time I did this.

This is a great spot to get it, but don't lunge the enemies. You don't have to kill them. You can start enemies on fire more than one time. I got about 13 enemies lit on fire by picking them up with B and just throwing them at the others and waited until they were back to normal.

There are several ways to set enemies on fire:
• In the Jungle, the flaming Machete Champions unleash a fireball when they lunge. Get Wolverine on fire and then lunge an enemy to set it on fire. If your lucky in close quarters you can get more than 1 on fire.
• Also in the jungle when you crash the jeep through the gate it sets 1 or 2 enemies on fire.
• In the Weapon X facilities there are some pipes on the wall that are gas lines. Throw an enemy into it to set them aflame.

Good info, thanks. I'm going to try the flame machette master trick since they don't do much damage now that my Wolverine is beefed up.

The Flaming Machette Champion worked perfect. There is a spot with one fairly early in Mission 5 that netted me the final 4 I needed. Thanks.

Crashing the jeep just set 2 enemies on fire when I did it.

In Chapter 1, where you crash the Gate with the Jeep, 2 or 3 opponents get on fire while you crash the gate. It seems that it counts. I got the achievement there and was wondering about.

This trophy is somewhat annoying, as there aren't a lot of locations where you can light enemies on fire. I would suggest paying attention to this from the start. You will get a couple of these as part of the story. Other opportunities include fights against the Machete Masters - there is a good location in Chapter 5, Level 1 (The Beginning of the End) where you have the Master light you on fire and a bunch of Machete minions spawning. Let the Master set you ablaze, then just grab the minions to light them up.

Alternatively, in a few Levels you will see pipes on the walls (these are best identified by using your Feral Sense). Throwing enemies into these will set them alight.

Progress can be tracked at any time from the Statistics Tab on the Pause Menu.
