How to unlock the Threading the Needle achievement in X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Definitive Guide

As DL stated above, the O ring will most likely appear after you've destroyed the 1st engine and when you're trying to get closer to take out the 2nd. As you get a bit closer to the Sentinel, it will fly out at you and you'll have to either fly through or at least hit it. The video below really helped me (video not made by me).

See "Fallen Sentinel" above for details on the fight.

During the second stage of the fight some time after you destroy the first engine, an O ring object will fall off the sentinel. Fly through it for the achievement. Note that it may not spawn until the second engine is destroyed or it is on a timer.

(Even if it hits you, like it did me, you should get the achievement. If you miss it, you can restart from the beginning of the second stage of the fight.)

it's a lot easier to avoid things along with intentionally hitting/going through things in this if you turn your feral vision on. the projectiles will be bright red and painfully obvious.

In the Sentinel boss battle. The game gives you very little time to react to the O-ring so stay in or near the center of the screen. It should automatically pass you with little to no adjustment needed on your part.

This trophy must be earned during the aerial section of the Sentinel Boss Battle, in Chapter 3, Level 10 - Sentinel Mark I.

This is essentially a free fall section, you must reach the Sentinel while avoiding debris, then pass a QTE to destroy its engines. After destroying the first engine, during the second free fall section there will be a round O-Ring that comes free, you must pass through the middle of it. Note that if you dash to the Sentinel too quickly after the first engine is destroyed, this can be missed. It is best to hang back, and let debris slow you down, until the O-Ring comes free.

Fortunately it takes up most of the screen, so this is relatively easy to do, but if you mess up, you will need to replay the entire Sentinel battle (or try to earn it on your subsequent Hard playthrough).

After you destroy both of Sentinel's engines, a part similar to a gear will fly out. So, you need to get into it.
