Works great! Definitely listen to SoulEngineer's tips as well - as it took me several times even with the cheats until I figured out the pattern.

Faster enemy reflex

Press A(2), X(2), Y(2), B(2), Y(2), X(2), A(2), click Right Analog-stick during game play while Wolverine is on screen and controllable. You will gain double reflex with every kill.

also a good code.

I was actually able to beat him without cheats! I did it by using counters & the claw cyclone.

haven't got this yet.. I've been busy for a hour now, going mental.. OR he kicks me off.. Or wolverine lunged to him and he steps away and wolvie falls overboard...

The first part is easy, but the second part he even seems to heal faster than the first part... ARGH!

Note to everyone using it: Use the guide with caution and to the letter and you can finish/complete this bloody game

Thanks a bunch for the codes, I can also confirm that this method still works as of today because I literally just got it about 4 minutes ago. I did the entire thing in one go and the cheats make it much less frustrating. Deadpool was still a giant douchebag though, can't do anything about that, though timing your gap-jumps between his eye blasts does help. Also spam the Y-button Fury attack (Claw Drill), it's great.

I can also confirm this method - works like a charm. I used it just at the end to finish off Deadpool. The rest of the game is fairly easy even on hard difficulty just by using counters and quick kills, but Deadpool can be a real pain. Thanks for posting this guide!!

Confirming this still works as of 9/13/2011. The game's not necessarily very difficult on Hard, it's just super tedious, as every enemy has a ton of health. Being able to have infinite rage and doing Claw Drills non-stop makes it slightly faster.

how do you input the codes?

By AngryKamehameha on 08 May 2012 18:50
all it says is do this and this , and press these buttons... do i have to be in a certain section in the pause menu, do i have to be on the main menu, do i just press buttons in game? that would make the solution actually work better

By AngryKamehameha on 08 May 2012 18:51
@Angry...while playing the game you input the codes. when you do it right you will hear a noise.

And FYI...DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT screw up like I did. If you have in the codes, but do not immediately quit to main menu and instead go through another checkpoint...then the codes are permanently stuck, and you can no longer get achievements.

You would have to start over from the beginning...like I am now. Too bad I screwed it up on Chapter 5.

By FlawlessPine483 on 29 Jun 2021 01:39
The cheats only block achievements under certain circumstances that are subverted with this method (it's a kind of save manipulation that stops the cheats affecting achievements unlocking)

Even with cheats, Deadpool took me a while to figure out how to kill him. This is what eventually worked for me. First part of the battle, do however you like (I just kept claw drilling him).

For the second part:
1. Watch out for slow motion, because he is about to blast the floor from under you, so jump out of the way.
2. When you are trying to jump over a gap, let him blast you, then jump so you don't get knocked off (assuming cheats on).
3. Get close to him, and quick kill (B, wait, Y). For me, he usually flew off, but then teleported right next to me so I could do it again.
4. If he is on the other side, jump and make your way to him, lunge at him (to save a jump), and repeat quick kill.

Note: He will only blast so much of the surface, so after he blasts enough, he won't blast away at the surface anymore.
Note: Sometimes when I threw him off, he would disappear and I couldn't find him. I would just wait a little, move around, and he would eventually teleport back up.
Note: He does regenerate, but it doesn't seem like a big issue as long as you don't take long breaks trying to get to him (lunging helps).
Note: It still took me several tries to get him.

I'm going to use them because this game is long as fuck and highly repetitive. And after randomly running through grabbing the 5 missed dog tags on top of earning the Samurai achievement, I am definitely not in the mood to deal with restarts.

Cheats still work as of 12-29-12. Even with them on Deadpool is still a bitch. My recommendation is that after he shoots the floor out and then teleports across get as close to him as you can, wait for him to fire his lasers (the ones that dont destroy the floor) and then lunge on him and continue to pummel him. Great guide thumbs up from me!

@SOULENGINEER, THANK YOU!!!

as of 3/24/13 cheats still work and net you the achievements, but you must do exactly as instructed so read that part carefully

after hours of hulking and raging on deadpool i finally looked up some help and on my second attempt using your method i nailed it. . i only used the INVINCIBILITY code and i input that code at start of my HARD game playthrough, but deadpool was a absolute dick, but your method of grabbing him and charging Y worked like a champ.

i also took advantage of my distance when deadpool was blasting away at the structure by keeping away from him and basically letting him blast away as to knock down as much of the structure as the game made possible. that way later in the game i was not fretting watching for that, and his laser shots at me, and trying to make up ground to get to him before his health regenerated. i felt the most stressful part was when he was blasting away at the structure and trying to jump the gaps, while still getting shot with his cyclops like laser (gamma) beams, or whatever that is. and once he has pretty much knocked out all the structure the game allowed i was able to pretty much stay close to him the rest of the fight and took advantage of the B and Y combo. he for the most part would teleport back to me and id grap him again and B,Y combo him again. and when he would telelport away from me id lunge RB,LB, as soon as i was close enough and after doing so go and grab him again before he gets up and rinse repeat B,Y combo.

thank you again ENGINEER, your tip on beating deadpool saved me alot of my time and a few controllers

Hard isn't terribly difficult but some tips to clear it easily are:

Collect as many dog tags as possible to continue raising your stats quickly.

Raise your claws and health first then concentrate on rage.

If you become low on health while fighting a large group of enemies immediately start quick killing enemies until your health regenerates and lunge from enemy to enemy. During quick kills enemies won't be able to hit you but you will regenerate your health.

Once you get mutagens use the xp and samurai ones to level quicker and increase your reflexes quickly so you can do more damage to the specified enemies.

When it comes to Deadpool you definately need to be patient. During the second battle on the circular tower make sure you jump left or right when he fires the more powerful eye blast that takes out pieces of the circle and when running around the circle always pause before you jump a gap because 9 times out of 10 he will fire the weaker eye blast while your in mid jump knocking you off the tower to start all over again which is infuriating.

I swapped out my mutagens for 11 - extra health, faster healing & take less damage.. still took a few tries. when I first beat him on normal, he never blasted the tower, last but one try tonight he took out what could of been a third of it. before having a very easy run at his final stage..

Didn't have any trouble on hard till i reached Deadpool. The last part of the fight can be a real pain. I used this combo to defeat him: Charge Y and release it on Deadpool. If you did it correct both of you will be launched into the air. Now while in the air press the X button 5 time (4 or 5, no more). After this X combo you should still be in the air with deadpool and finish off the combo with B to smack him to the floor. He will be unconsious for a second or 2 which give you time to charge Y again. Repeat the above.

Most of the game on Hard was a breeze until Deadpool. Cheap SOB kept running away from me a blowing up the tower. Finally started using Lunge and the combo as stated by D4RK I FuRy I - which worked quite well.

Ok what Mobius, MH Rockstar and Fury said. Lunge, Charge Y and rapid tap X 4-5 times then hit B to throw him down to the ground. Rinse and Repeat.

The Deadpool fight is quite challenging but if you can survive his 4-5 blast attacks by jumping left or right you can leap to him rather easily. Once there you can literally pin him to the ground with a strong attack (hold Y) and hit X 4-5 times (max do not exceed five X's). Once you do that hit b throw him down and do it again. It may take you a bit to get this down because if you hit X to many times you may throw him off the ledge and he will teleport away right next to you with a instant blast under your feet causing you to fall with little reaction time to jump away. This happened literally with Deadpool @ 5% health remaining. So as long as you got the pattern down you are solid. It's tough but doable.

Great tips by all for the last boss!

I found that turning him back into the walkway of the reactor's rim during the B button maneuver to be helpful. This way I wasn't jamming him out or in, causing him to fall and respawn. So during the grab/slam/B move, simply move the camera so your player twists and lands him centered on the playable area.

I would also start dodge-rolling to one side as soon as time slowed down and he was going to blast. This worked all but once, and it felt a little safer to me than jumping I guess. YMMV

Yes, raising your claws and health first is a very good idea, i've also noticed that during boss fights when you'r e almost dead, just go to the skills menu and select an upgrade for your health, you will get a full health bar.
I've just started chapter four now and i've only upgraded my health to max, claws i can still do one upgrade. I'm thinking of keeping as much points for deadpool (really struggled against him even on normal). Grinding levels is also very helpfull to upgrade wolverine.

Deadpool was the only really hard part of this whole game. That whole fight on top of the reactor is such an enormous pain in the ass, and whoever designed the level at Raven is a bonafide asshole.

Basically, MH Rockstar and Fury have the key to winning this fight. Use lunge (cn_RB+cn_LB) to close the distance to Deadpool and he can't laser you off the side. Then use Fury's combo (charge cn_Y, rapid tap cn_X 4-8 times, then cn_B) and you'll chop off the fucker's head in no time to be done with the annoying ass.

First things first: It may be easiest if you go for the achievements like 2000 kills, raising all combat reflexes, 25 reflected projectiles, upgrades, etc. before starting Hard. Once you start Hard, it will reset your stats to 0. I had 1500 kills, started Hard and was reset to 0, so it pays to play through once, then get those achievements, then go after Hard.
Hard isn't really too much of a challenge. Quick kills are you friend, so use them often as they buy a little extra time for regen. Aside from that there shouldn't be too many hiccups.
Good luck!
The only tricky part can be the fight against Deadpool at the end as there are a lot of cheap deaths. All in all, I don't think you'll notice a drastic difference between even Easy and Hard.

The hardest part is the last fight with deadpool.
But two quick tips
1) use quick kill, it does a lot of damage, and you can just lunge him, grab then quick kill.
2) when he is in the distance and shooting sections of the tower out don't jump until the last second, preferably not all, just run around the tower, this prevents him knocking you off.

For me the last fight came down to mutagens only. I started out with Samurai, Experience and Vitality, and failed miserably. As soon as i equipped Unstoppable and Healing Factor (while keeping Vitality), this was a cakewalk.

The game is pretty simple on hard, even the fight with deadpool. When you face Nord, try to take each WENDIGO as they some instead of getting all four at once....makes life much easier lol. For Deadpool try to block one of his attacks to get the slo-mo sequence which causes damage and then pounce. I found when he teleprted away from me that lunging and pressing y afterwards kept him at bay. When i killed him i had claws, health and rage all full and the art of war, unstoppable and vitality mutagens on.

This should be the final trophy that you go for before the platinum. As has been noted, nothing carries over from your Easy/Normal playthrough, so you should try to clean up all the kills, miscellaneous and XP/Combat Reflex trophies BEFORE starting your New Game on Hard.

Enemies are a bit harder to kill, and deal more damage, but otherwise the game is essentially the same, and you should be prepared from your first playthrough.

If you are struggling, you can enable Cheats for Infinite Rage ( ) and Never Die ( ). Please refer to the detailed description on how to activate the Cheat work around if you intend to use this method.

If you do intend to use Cheats, I would recommend activating them right after a checkpoint so you don't accidentally trigger a save with the Cheat registered, and back up your save prior to attempting them, just in case something goes wrong. If you do trigger an auto-save point with the cheat enabled before quitting to the main menu, you will permanently lock that save from trophy progress.

Passing on a difficult level of difficulty is not so difficult, just use different skills more often.
