How to unlock the King of Cochin achievement in Yakuza 5 Remastered - Definitive Guide
This is a Shinada achievement, which you can unlock in Part 4, Chapter 2 when his substories open up. Go to the south save point and do "Getting Rich Quick".
Now train your Conchin to 100 for the first two categories and 50 for the other two (max live for the first Conchin). Now, race. Press to Egg On. Warning: this will tire the Conchin out faster. if you're struggling, after the third race, you can breed your Conchin and train that one to max levels. You shouldn't struggle anymore after that. The achievement should pop after you win your first race.

So don't be dumb like I was and mash A to speed up. Press it only when you want that boost.
Also, using the Frozen Tuna as an infinite training bribe (as described in the link above) works great for this.

Just wanted to add a tidbit for training your Cochin. In the north westernmost intersection of Kineicho, there are 2 long iron poles (pipes?) to be picked up in fights there. One is one the sidewalk on the NW side, I believe, near a glass door/support. The second is just south of it, amongst the pylons and cones.(Apologies if I mixed up the locations)
Taking those to the Cochin trainer, and picking the 4th guy, Kanimiyu or something (he focuses on dark/dirt training), using those pipes gives a +42 to both dirt and dark training, with a decent increase to leg/stamina. If you're using the frozen tuna method for leg/stamina, this can save a lot of time running back and forth, especially on 4th or 5th gen Cochins.
Hope this helps, it sure did for me 😀

This is a very annoying mini-game. Winning for the first time will not be a problem. Those. and this trophy will also come out easily. But to get 100%, you need to win all the races. And for this you need to pump the chicken to the maximum. It will take a lot of time to run to the store for food and drink for the trainers, level up the chicken drop by drop in one go, and win races to be allowed to breed a chicken with an increased leveling limit. My advice is to rack up the number of races won in your first races before you even give birth to your new hen. This will save time on pumping up parameters, which will simply roll back when a new chicken is born.

Everything can be done quickly if you know what to give to the trainers. Try to use three trainers in turn so that there is a balance in stats (Shimazaki, Toda and Kanemiya).
So there are 3 options:
1) Taurier (any). If you, like me, do not use drinks to replenish Heat, then by the end of the game you should have a decent amount accumulated, and if anything you can buy it. This is an excellent investment for a small price, you can use it for at least 3 generations
2) Gold plates . If it turns out that you have nowhere to put your points with the casino or have extra money, then this is a very good gift to the trainers and will give a very decent increase in your stats.
3) Frozen tuna . My favorite method, it gives a big increase in stats (+60 at a time for each of the first two trainers and +70 at a time for the fourth trainer), and it’s also free. Good for pumping up from 3rd to 6th generations, when you already need a lot of stats. The downside is that you will have to run back and forth 10-15 times. Basically, Frozen tuna is given to you for completing all the training for Akiyama. After that, it can be picked up at the M Store and, if lost, it can be picked up again. That is, bring Frozen tuna, run to the store, pick it up and bring it again, and so on until we finish pumping it.
So, we figured out how to pump it up. Now let's figure out how to play here.
The first chicken they give you is very weak, with low stats. Even after pumping her up, she won’t even win the first race. Just run the first race 3 times and it will be possible to switch to the 2nd generation
For all generations, we try to choose a chicken with an asterisk, or with good stats and abilities. You can re-enter this section for other chickens to appear until you choose the right one.
You will easily win the first championship with 5 races with a pumped-up chicken from the 2nd generation. We go to the second, if there is not enough, then we move on to the 3rd generation. Keep an eye on the chicken's abilities, as sometimes she has negative ones that need to be erased from this organizer. Well, that’s it, let’s go and pump the chicken. If it doesn’t cope, then it’s time to pump it up again for the next generation. 6 generations were enough for me. On the 6th generation I had about 700 stats for everything, this was enough to win the final championship.
There are two chickens that can be given on the street after the first championship, but I didn’t like both of them, since I balanced my stats and she did a much better job than those.

I recently completed this mini-game completely. First I got the third chicken and Yakuza from Kamiyama's van (bought for 30k, refusing to take it for 100k). After that, he started racing her in beginner races (3 races at a time), after which he crossed the hen (his name is Narcissu, by the way) with the best representatives of her kind (with an asterisk in the name). If the desired chicken did not appear on the list, I left the crossing and entered again until it appeared. The best candidate is ★Queen. A couple of times I chose hens with good skills. In total, I changed 14 generations of my chicken, thus increasing all the indicators to the maximum (this was unnecessary). You can understand the maximum by the current parameters - 499 points is exactly the middle of this maximum (999 points), so if after breeding chickens there are 499 left in a line, this is the maximum of this line.
Then you just have to pump all the parameters up to 999 from the trainers and the chicken will tear all your opponents to smithereens.
