After a certain point in Chapter 3 of Kiryu's part, you'll give Mack Shinozaki a ride, and he'll remind Kiryu about revelations.
There are two types of Revelations in this game: cutscene Revelations (which are the ones you need for this achievement) and weapon Revelations. All five characters each have one cutscene Revelation, which is found at a certain point in the city. You'll witness a scene, then press three button prompts. Press them all correctly and you'll have a flash of inspiration, blog what you saw, and you'll get a new Heat Move.
Weapon Revelations are a little different. Each of the 4 male characters has three of them. What you need to do is hit enemies with certain weapons, mostly using the heavy attack (with Y). It's not completely understood, but most people seem to have success with the heavy attack. Be sure to hold down LT so you don't use the weapon as a Heat Move. What you're looking for is hitting the enemies enough times so you see a cut-in of your character's face. Once that happens, you'll learn a new heavy attack with that weapon (NOT a Heat Move).

Essence of the Snowman - Go to the eastern part of the Main St. Park. After completing "Snow Festival Performer" sub-story, you'll find Inari balancing on a snowball. Hit A to look at him, then hit the three button prompts.

Rainbow Prism Star - After completing the substory "Starbound", go to Iwao Bridge to find Ulala there. Use A to look at her, then hit the three button prompts.

I'm actively trying to get weapon revelations but can't seem to get one. Either I get stopped just outside where one is, enemies stop me from using them, or in the extremely rare case where I actually get to use one, use a heat move by accident (not realizing I have heat built up) or I justdon't pick it up. I'm in Part 1, Chapter 4 (having completed Mack's substory).

That's why for weapons it's better to hold LT then hit Y cause it won't use perform a heat move while in that mode.

There is no need to make Weapon Revelatins. Receive a trophy as soon as you complete normal Revelations for each character, 1 pc. for everyone.
