How to unlock the Thrilling First Date achievement in Yakuza 5 Remastered - Definitive Guide

When you are doing the Hostess quest line for any of the four male protagonists, there is an option during each cabaret club visit to invite the girl on a date. The earliest opportunity to do this is with Kiryu in Part 1, Chapter 2. You can ask Riku the hostess to go on a date. You have to go to Nagasu Night Navi and ask to go to a cabaret club. This will unlock access to La Seine (the cabaret club in Nagasugai). I am not sure if you need to be at a certain rank for her to accept the offer of a date, but when I did it I was rank A with Riku. The date happens at the end of the visit to the club. Achievement unlocks right away when you are walking around with Riku. You can also do this achievement with any of the other characters when you are doing their hostess quest lines.

I avoid quick resume in these games specifically because it glitches the achievements but still had to do this one twice. Save before hitting the club to ask. I reloaded and asked again and it popped the 2nd time.

This isn't too difficult to get and you can get it early on if you don't send any money to the orphanage in the early game. You can get this in Act 1 playing as Kiryu with the hostess Riku as your date. All you need to do is keep her "love" meter maxed out for the first bar and ask her on a date, even on meeting her the first time. Finish the session favorably and as soon as you exit you'll be able to go on a date with her. If you're just achievement hunting, just revert to your last save, but with all of the hostesses, they all have their own hidden substories so it's up to you if you want to revert or not.

You need to offer a girl a date at a hostess club and she must agree. If he refuses, you must offer him again. The dates she makes don't count. Verified.

If a girl refuses a date, try calling her next time. This is done in the "Do something" menu ( between dialogues when placing the host club) - “Ask her out”.
