Once you find Rextro in the first grand tome world, TribalStack Tropics, look in a cave under his arcade cabinet, by the cloud racing track, to find a coin. Return it to Rextro to play a cart racing time trial. Just finish 5 laps in less than 5 minutes to complete it. If you can do it in half the time, you will get an additional achievement!

You can do this from the main menu the first time you boot, don't need to find him

This can be done before ever starting the game in a few minutes. From the main menu go to Rextro's Arcade: 1P. Then select your save game file (if you don't have one it will create one). Select any of the games you want with the 
. I personally recommend Gun-Tlet Run (the 5th one) as you only need 9000 to get on the leader board and also unlock

Rextro and his arcade game are off on the far right side of the map on the first Grand Tome World, Tribalstack Tropics. In order to use his arcade game, you need to find the coin on the level. The coin is located beneath where he is located, in a cave along the cloud racing track. After finding the coin, go speak with Rextro to play his racing game. Completing the 5 laps in under 5 minutes will net you this trophy.

Rextro, a very retro looking T-Rex, is the proud owner of an Arcade. You can find him in all of the worlds close to his oversized arcade machines, that he will let you have a go at if you bring him that worlds Playcoin. The arcade games are always fairly simply and completing them is usually easy enough e.g. the game in the first world, Tribalstack Tropics, tasks you with completing a 5 lap race in a car.
